His contract gives him some leverage, but every game you can sense the moment Carlisle has had enough of Porzingis and feels he needs to put WCS  in (as our saviour) before the game gets out of hand.

Too late now.

Well obviously there are limitations to how well that works, cause he´s still WCS, but it just shows the pathetic level of this team.

This is a Blazers team without 4 of their top 10 rotational players.

At least we´ll get a lot of 40 point games from Luka and the Knicks get a nice lottery pick.

How many teams get in those wildcard spots? 9-10 or 9-12?
Portland is really on fire tonight. I actually think Mavs outside defense was mostly good. Interior defense I will rather not comment Smile
Too many times Luka has to do it all by himself. Where's KP, THJ, JRich?  Have to come to the realization that other teams have better personnel. You're not winning many games giving up a 45 pt 3rd qtr.
Ouch, total air ball from DFS.
ESPN announcer:  none of the Mavs blocked Giles out.  Lack of fundamentals kill the Mavs.
Shooting too many 3's. It's great when they go in. When they don't, then what?

Brunson is the only one playing in the paint, besides Luka.

Well, to be honest, this could be said for Portland as well. You can't really expect a win if opponent is over 50 % from three.

You post up KP, WCS, even Boban in the paint and force the issue there.

You are correct. Dallas is one of the worst 3 pt shooting teams, percentage wise in the NBA.
Only hope is Luka takes over the game.
If Boban cannot get in the game when Kanter is playing, just cut him right now.
Great three DFS, but oh boy on defense... I saw it from Slovenia Lillard will shoot that three
Why not challenge the Lillard foul? Why not double Lillard and let someone else beat you?

Why no foul?  2.4 secs was too less anyway.
FACK....
Good game. Can't win them all. Portland was just too hot for most of the game
Let's face it - there's zero way that a bad defensive team is going to beat Dame Lillard in a close game. Close him out early, or you're toast.
We lost to a team missing two starters. Yet we want to dwell on how we played a good game?

This same team won 6 of their last 7. So perhaps they have adequate replacements for those two starters...

Yes. Compared to the last two games defense and effort improved. Percentages aren´t telling the whole story. RoCo hit 4 highly contested 3s. Same for Trent and Simmons.
Blazers made difficult shots. Pelicans and Hawks scored uncontested layups and dunks all game long.
