I would go with a medium size. Somewhere in the 400ft range.
I am simple man. Dirk likes RC. Dirkfansince1998 likes RC.
Dirk is the greatest athlete of my time.  Just a wonderful person.

Great ceremony. I could’ve done without about 4 of the different arrangements of that stupid Green Day song, but everything else was perfect.

Isn't it an inside joke that Dirk was a huge Green Day fan and that was his favorite song? Could've sworn he got roasted for that one time by his teammates lol.

They should have thrown a David Hasselhoff banger in the mix if that was the case.
From a 2019 Athletic article about Nowitzki's retirement ceremony:

Quote:Nowitzki wanted (Time Of Your Life) attached to any final career retrospective done by the Mavericks, Seager had told them. “I was like, ‘Have you asked him since 2010?’ That’s the oldest high school song since Vitamin C,” Marshall joked. “But it meant something to him, so it meant something to me.”

There it is.

Thanks for doing the investigation. For what its worth I kind of like the song.

I don’t mind the song at all. It’s a good song. But, it gets used for every “sad sports memory” situation. Abused might be more accurate. They used it like six times last night, all different arrangements, tempos, some recorded, some played by the hired professional musicians (I’m sure they rolled their eyes hard about that).

But, you know, if it is one of Dirk’s favorite songs, then I guess it makes more sense.
My favorite Dirk memory...besides the championship and various game winners, the one that stuck with me was the time that someone knocked out his front tooth (not the Landry event), he caught it in mid air (they showed it on the replay) and got it taken care of and came back in the game (his dentist happened to be at the game).  They put it back in at halftime with some cream that a staffer ran to a drugstore and got.
I enjoyed the pregame show on Bally Sports and the post-game jersey retirement show.  It was great to see the old German again on the court of the AAC.  But I thought the Mavs could have done a better job w/the event.

1.  Where was our new GM Nico?  I think Nico should have MC'ed the event from the court.

2.  Brad, Ro and Harp should have been there to welcome Dirk into the club.

3.  It would have been huge of Cuban to have Don and Donnie there to talk about Dirk.

Just a few things I thought would have made the event better for Mavs fans.  I guess next up for Dirk is the HOF.

Pretty cool - thanks for posting...
Maybe we can rescue Bogdan out of ATL given their struggles. They gotta choose between him and Heurter and are the precise team that could be interested in our superstar center Dwight Powell.
