The man meant so much to the game that he is STILL getting video tribute's even AFTER his retirement. Dirk will always be synonymous with the Mavs. I love this team and I was on board with Luka before the draft but it's weird seeing the Mavs without the big German out there.
I also loved hearing Luka mention Dirk the other night in a joke saying that the defense was bad last year with Dirk out there. He's carrying on Dirk's sense of humor. That was one of the things I loved the most about Dirk. Dude is funny.

Who is bigface longhair on the bottom row to the right of Ben Simmons? I feel like I spent my youth hating him and the team he played on but I can't remember who he is.....

hah... I think of Scola as the Scola from the Rockets... he had a much longer career with them.

Just saying to anyone who hasn't listened to Bill Simmons pair of Dirk podcasts, do yourself a favor and do it. They're fantastic. Really captures the history and sheer gravity of what Dirk did.
That and they throw in little tidbits of background information that I certainly never heard before!

You know what, that's funny. Marciulionis is one of the players I thought got snubbed on the list. I didn't think that looked like him that much, and the red jersey didn't help. I think he played for GSW/SEA/SAC (that I can remember). I might be mistaken. Maybe that's him.
