Mentally preparing myself for:

Doncic injury requires wrist surgery.  He will miss first three months of the upcoming season. Mavs will still try to compete to make play-offs. Tanking to keep top 10 protected pick in deepest draft in a decade to find Doncic a young running mate is not an option for the Mavericks according to sources.

The team didn't stay the same, there were considerably changes in players going out and players going in. Arguably second best player left and they traded for Wood
