NEW: I sat down with Mavericks governor Patrick Dumont in Macau. We discussed the arena project, his relationship with Mark Cuban, why he hired Masai Ujiri and Dumont wanting to take a “patient” approach to building around Cooper Flagg.

I see complaints here and there about the Mavs getting Morez, when Yaxel and Mara are looking like great prospects. When that happens, I relax with the thoughts that:
1 Morez has lacked any opportunity to impress. That time is coming.
2 Of all the evaluators to compare those 3, the Mavs had the best - May, their coach who saw every practice, every game, every comparison. If anyone had the inside view, it was him. And he got his 1st pick.
3 So the exploits of the other 2 leave me thinking: if they look that good, how good is Morez going to be? That's exciting to consider.

Dunno, man.

You’re spoiling all my second-guessing, regrets, and FOMO.
