AROUND the NBA:
Jacob Tobey is out as the Spurs’ lead play-by-play announcer after he was accused on social media of cheating on his girlfriend with the sister of a player on the team, sources told Front Office Sports. Earlier this week, multiple posts accusing Tobey of the affair were shared on his Instagram account. The posts went viral across multiple social media platforms. In a subsequent post on her own social media account, Tobey’s girlfriend indicated that she was responsible for the posts on his account and that their relationship is now over.

This eerily sounds like the same situation Tony Parker had when he was with the Spurs.

I don't get it. He wasn't married. Wasn't illegal. I guess you could argue if it's ethical, but seems like some false indignation by the organization to cut him loose.

If the player wasn’t happy with this guy hitting his sister while in a relationship, he’s gone - nothing to see here.

Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro got into a physical altercation in Las Vegas on Friday in which Adebayo struck Herro, sources tell ESPN.

The altercation occurred at a practice court in a Las Vegas hotel this morning, sources said -- starting when Adebayo approached Herro about comments the guard made critiquing the center on social media after their seven-year run in Miami ended.

I know this is incredibly childish of me to think, but I read the above and immediately pictured Bam punching Herro but with a big animated "BAM!" appearing like in the old Batman show.

Seems like Adabayo doesn't have his back anymore, so you might be able to get away with it! I don't hate him like you do, but he's one of the few NBA players I can compete with in terms of reach, so he'd be high on my list of choices to fight.

I haven't had my ass kicked in a good long while so if I ever get the opportunity...I'll totally chicken out.

Would you hit him with your killer left?

That's about right. If the offseason was over right this second and opening night was like a week away I'd probably have UTA ahead of Dallas, too. But, to be fair POR seems like it could slide back from last season pretty easily.

Exactly how I see it also.

Really just +1 experienced playmaker/guard and -1 big and I’d feel good about this being a developmental season, while at the same time competing for the play in.

I’m still holding out hope for my Naji+Klay for Jrue fantasy trade.

Me three! I don't think that's a Masai move, but I would very much welcome it.
