He was a team cancer in Houston and he's bad on defense. Can't complain about the price though. And he's expiring so hopefully he plays for a contract year

Burke, Brown, Boban and Chriss gone in one blow though.  Oh boy.

this from a couple ClutchFans:   "kinda ass return~I can't lie"

also:  "the only thing stopping wood was he had no hierarchy and no one to keep his dumb ass ego in check.
Kidd going to make wood cry then build him back up. Wood doesn't think he is better than luka. I bet you Wood becomes a better defender too.
its a good score for dallas, IMO
Thank goodness rockets aren't contending or I might be a little irritated.
more touches for the children."

Unloaded four guys that got no burn.  Got a big.  I know Wood has some red flags but at the very least he'll be part of the rotation.  He also frees up space that will let us test our scouting department for the likes of DFS, Maxi or GPJr.  I'd say this is one of our best trades.  Don't make me love you Nico.  I'll call you a wizard if you can turn Bertans into something.

99% of NBA players would have a bad attitude playing for Houston with how bad they are. I expect him to buy into what JKidd and crew will coach to him, and this 5-out small ball lineup is going to be awesome to watch.

Going to a winning team will help and he'll have a defined role and consistent opportunities.  Dinwiddie and Bertans had a scarlet letter on them in Washington and were model citizens once they arrived here.

Wow, I’m gone for 2 hours…

Initial thoughts:

Great use of the draft pick, imo. Way better than adding a guy who can’t help for a while, given the team’s current situation. Basically, they did the impossible by adding a playoff rotation guy without losing any of the ones they had. Hell, even Powell is still here.

Ironic that they ALSO cleared out all of the end of bench guys who had me convinced they’d trade the pick in the first place.

I think it’s interesting that he’s expiring, and at a very usable number for trades.

I like Wood’s game, but have some serious doubts as to whether he’s as good as fans think. He didn’t get a very good contract when he was a free agent. He’s already being moved by that team. Lots of questions about his defense and general work ethic. I have a feeling he won’t be the answer, and I’m not sure he’s a starter on a good team, tbh, but man, he represents talent that wasn’t here yesterday. Excited to take this plunge, especially at the price, which was RIGHT.

BOBAN IS GONE!!!!

I don't know anything about Wood except he has a lot of fans on this board.  Just remember that Bertans got a lot of playoff burn and he'll certainly be a better rebounder than any of our other big men.
