2021-2022 AROUND the NBA: GSW Champs [ARCHIVED]
The really interesting thing will be how the Nets handle Kyrie opting in. Everyone knows he's gone next year and Durant will most likely follow. So this just delays the inevitable, creates a massive season-long distraction, and sets up the trade deadline to be insane. I still think it's 50/50 they pull the band-aid off now. And Kyrie is probably betting on a buyout to sign with the Lakers without giving up a dime.

John Wall for the TP-MLE is REALLY interesting. I know Wall has been...unreliable to say the best the last 3 years, but the dude can still average 20ppg and 8apg.

Obviously he wouldn't be asked for that here, but the guy is a fantastic creator, and his defense before the injuries was great.

Should JB leave I'd look long and hard at Wall.

Do you think buyout?  I would have guessed trade so that his Bird rights would carry to his new team.

HoopsHype says Knicks have had exploratory discussions with the Clippers for Noel.  He fits into their TPE.  The article sort of mentions the Knicks would have to include a pick????

I would label this report just rumor in this crazy season we are at now.   But it would be interesting if the Clipps think they are out on Hartelstein and are not worried about the tax.

I think yesterday someone reported that they couldn't keep Harlestein and use the tax mle on Wall. Something about not having bird rights. So, Harlestein is very much on the move, if that's the case?

I really hate missing the opportunity to get our 2023 pick back.  It is the only thing that makes the possibility of losing Brunson almost palatable.  Noel to LAC makes sense, but there is no way NY is paying to move him AND paying the Mav’s pick to Dallas as part of a S&T.  NY would be completely self reliant with Noel off the roster unless, for some reason, they didn’t want to cut Gibson.
