Same for Flagg.

I wouldn't touch that Mavs bet.  (40.5 wins over under)

If AD misses any time while Kyrie is already out, this is gonna turn into a tank season real quick.

The positive is Flagg got some good looks this game not having to (unexplicably) play guard. His shot making is a work in progress. He missed a lot of easy shots tonight. If we're going to suck, THIS is the the type of game that will help his growth. Not putting him out there at PG.

If I were the coach, I would start PJ at the 5 and Flagg at the 4 while AD and Lively are injured. Flagg looked much better at SF than G. I think he'll look even better at PF.

Officially the worst team in the Western Conference. I don’t know how they beat any NBA team without Davis, Kyrie, and Lively. The Mavs were 8.5 point favorites against a terrible Pelicans team and lost at home.

There’s always rough stretches in a season but with injuries, poor play from some proven veterans, and some rough games from the #1 pick early on, this may just be how the season goes for the Mavs. Luckily, they have their pick this year but if I’m the GM, I have to start considering trading anyone not named Cooper, PJ, or Max.

Question. How did SGA look at 18?

I don't remember, but I do know that he wasn't being asked to do nearly as much as Flagg is being asked to do this year.

There's a few trolls and idiots who are down on Flagg, but try not to let them bother you. He's exceeding my expectations in most ways. I feel sorry for him, honestly.

At 18 SGA played at Kentucky averaging 13 points a game. His rookie year he averaged 10 points a game. His second year he averaged 19 points a game.

But Flagg sucks ?

Who are you talking to?

Flagg had 20pts, 9rebounds, 3stls, 2bllks

Shot 8-19 from the field

He had the exact type of game I expected him to have coming into the season. Be impactful and fill up the box score but struggle shooting the ball.

Not worried about him at all except the dumbasses running this team forcing him to play guard. The Kidd quote about a Kyrie/Flagg backcourt gave me depression.

I think we all agree that Kidd is a below average NBA head coach. But I'll give him one thing. He swindled the Mavs into an extension. Even if he gets fired, he'll get paid. Why we gave him the extension is beyond me. I would rather have Sean Sweeney.

And I would fire Nico and hope to convince Dennis Lindsey to come back to Dallas.

What has gotten into Dallas sports teams? The Cowboys and the Mavs are pathetic. At least we have the Stars.

Sadly, we somehow do not all agree, though we certainly should. He's one of the worst in the league, and that's been obvious since day 1. If you gave Rick Carlisle this team it would be night and day different. Kidd's offense is "give Luka Flagg a live dribble above the break."

Flagg was pretty great tonight, imo. He showed things he simply hasn't had the opportunity to show consistently so far this year, because he was used in variety of ways.

The silver lining of all of this, imo, is that he's not the type we have to worry about getting ruined by all of these shenanigans, so in a way it will probably be good for him in the long run to be put in all of these awkward positions.

There are people on this forum calling Flagg a medium roster guy for his upside.

Last place. Mavs are just where they need to be. Bring on the tank. Fire Nico. Draft one of those top 3 studs. Trade AD, cut Klay, and keep Kyrie for now. The path to a new beginning is right in front of this team.

Bobby Karalla is on the DLLS postgame right now speaking absolute truth, as usual. It was so obvious all summer that this wasn't going to work. I feel pretty silly for allowing a modicum of hope to seep into my heart.

Felt like I was being gaslit all summer.

This rant by Bobby is pretty epic.
