Do we play Den again this reg season? Want to see how we stack up against them now.

We will see how everything fits but Denver (and maybe Miami) were my winners at the trade deadline.   Losing a prospect like Hampton hurts a little, but he was still a few years away.   Plus, they didn't give up any of their other young players.   Those players may develop or they can be used in a future trade.

I don't know if they have enough to come out of the West, but they are better than they were yesterday imo.

Denver is still good but are they better than last year? Would you rather have Aaron Gordon or Jerami Grant and Gary Harris? They've now lost two starters from their WCF team.

I don’t think GH of last year is the same player as this one. Opposite with JG, he wasn’t the same player last year as he is this one.

Time will tell, but I think Den is a good measuring stick for how we stack up. In other words, they are the team we are looking to be right now.

If I'm Denver, I'm dancing in the streets that I got off that Gary Harris contract while also getting Gordon.     He is constantly injured, and to me he's just one of those players who builds up a reptutation as a young player on a bad team that is getting featured a lot and putting up empty numbers in losses.     Like once Denver actually got good and Jokic became Jokic, you realize that Harris is really just maybe like a bit supporting player on a contending team but now he's locked in at $20 million a year.

It's a good question if I would prefer Grant or Gordon, but from all acounts Jeremi Grant just didn't want to be the 3rd or 4th best player in Denver.    Denver offered him the same 3 year/$60 million that Detroit did, and Grant chose to go to Detroit because he wanted to be a featured franchise player who had a lot of the offense go through him .. which was never going to happen in Denver with Jokic and Murray and now Porter Jr.

Those comments about Harris are sort of my point. He was a good asset last year -- a 30 minute starter on a WCF team. Jerami Grant also started for them.

Fast forward one year and those guys are now gone and DEN is left with Aaron Gordon.

From a team and asset standpoint, that's tough. MPJ is clearly an improved player and Denver is better today than they were two days ago but it's not clear they're substantially better than last year.

I also have my doubts they really improved. They sure are big!
