„As of Wednesday night, there was no hint of a Mavericks plan to trade into this draft. That, however, probably was the quiet before what promises to be an eventful draft day for Dallas.

Pick or no pick.“

via Townsend

If Donnie and Rick were still around I would not even bother to watch it as those guys never gave a crap about the draft. Maybe things will be different under Nico but he has to enter draft night with no picks and limited assets. I don’t expect much tonight.

So, now Atlanta is attaching the player they got from one of those picks from us, AND another first to go lower in the lottery?  Trying to get off salary to sign Collins, maybe?  That's not clear to me.

I think it was Zach Lowe who mentioned the Hawks may want to reset their timeline with one of their young players this offseason.  The thinking is in the next two years, these young guys will be looking for their next contract and the Hawks won't be able to afford them.   Reddish had a few nice moments in the playoffs after a rough season, so maybe they hope to use him and their first round pick to get a lottery pick and have that extra time on a player on a rookie deal.

I never viewed Collins as an option after the trade deadline last year.    Add to the fact they had a great run in the playoffs and their rookie big man is out for a while.     I think he stays in ATL....Dallas was never an option after the trade deadline imo.

Remember: Dallas already sent some cash to the Pelicans in the Redick trade...so they may not have much left depending on what they already sent, since the limit is $5M

Oh, interesting. I would've thought this would reset at the end of the season. When does the clock on next year's $5 million start?

I´d be all over this.

Offer Kleber for Hill +#28 to Philly and then acquire #20 and Reddish for #28.

Draft Jaden Springer.

Suddenly you have turned Maxi Kleber into George Hill (only $1.5M guarantee), Jaden Springer and Cam Reddish. That´s the kind of moves I´d like to see from the Mavs. Turn one asset into three.

#9, Hield, Bagley
#13, Turner, Warren

If either team put that on the table for Porzingis, I´d do it.

How magnanimous of you.

If Nico gets that kind of return for Porzingis, give him exec of the decade right now. And there's a reason Indiana wouldn't want Porzingis.

$1.1mm to N.O. In the Redick deal.  $4,517,000 remains.  Resets with the new NBA year on 8/2.
