This C's / Clippers game is straight FIYA....!!

Celts will be tough in the playoffs. Gritty 2 way players. Tatum straight up outplayed Kawhi on both ends.

8 days off now

The only thing standing in between Zion and being a superiorly dominant NBA player to Luka is health. I hate to wish injuries on someone, but...

Zion is a beast, totally different player than Luka. Dallas is going to have company in the SW division, Memphis and N.O. are coming along nicely.

And you can't play off of Smart anymore. He has improved his 3 pt shooting immensely, to go along with his always stellar D. C's are lacking another big though. Might be a detriment vs Philly, Toronto and Milwaukee.

Smart is one of my basketball crushes. 6-4 guard that defends PG-PF and even some centers. Underrated playmaker and passer. Still don´t understand why the Mavs did not even try to sign him 2 years ago. Celtics were hesitant to pay him.
Theis is a good center that I would rank in the Kleber/Powell tier. Can definitely start on a good team but for certain matchups the Celtics need someone bigger. Kanter is not really an option because he clearly is one of the worst defensive bigman in the league.

You were totally on that bandwagon. I was totally wrong.

I thought that he already was worth big money without a jumper but him developing his shot is a big plus. It´s difficult to predict whether a player is able to improve his jumper but in Smarts case his mechanics never looked bad.
Will be interesting to see how MKG develops. His mechanics are terrible. That´s not a good starting point but also a chance to completly rebuild his shot and turn around his career. Pipe dream would be Bruce Bowen 2.0.

Yeah, fantasy trades for Smart were just not very...Smart if you cared about people blasting you for liking him.  I can't recall too many players who were any more of a lightening rod on the old board.

Yeah I was on team "No" until we got Luka. What a pairing that would be. Even before Smart found his shooting range it would have been great especially with KP
We need some perimeter madmen surrounding them

Crazy that Bruce Bowen was in his second season at the same age as MKG is now.

Spurs chart with that Aldridge/Derozan effect.

Doesn’t look much different than the LaC and LaL charts to me. I guess those two teams should just pack up and leave cause they aren’t playing the game the “right” way.

Maybe they look the same if you ignore the colors of the shot chart.  Aldridge and Derozan are your primary scorers who are primarily mid range shooters and the chart reflects that. Who said anything about packing it up or playing the "right" way?  Grow up.

I could use a some growing up, I guess I'm human in that way. I could also be more clear in my responses, so let me make my point more clear.

I saw the charts as the same because of the back and forth about mid range shots being outdated and not a good shot (b-b-b-because...analytics). It was a comment to those who keep digging at defenders of the balanced attack saying stuff to the effect of that being the old way and layups and 3's being the new NBA and the only way to play the game. If you are a part of that crowd, then that comment was directed at you, if not, it wasn't. Simple as that.

Well since many here judge the quality of an offense, based on the OffRTG only. Spurs are 10th in the league. They are a** on defense.

If you are only 10th on offense and ass on defense then your team probably sucks so it checks out.

At least we have an elite #1 rated offense instead of a barely top 1/3rd #10 ranked offense like the Spurms and that is part of the separation between them and us. The other part being that our crappy defense ranks 19th and their even crappier defense ranks 25th

It's a hard paradigm for some to finally accept but the Spurs just flat out finally suck

And they probably would accept that, after 21 straight playoff appearances.  The end was going to happen eventually, just surprised it took this long.

Wow. Beilien didn't make it through a whole season.

Foolish look on the Cavs though. I don't know what they expected.

I feel like Beilien wouldn't look half as bad if the roster was composed of young players he could just coach without having to manage egos. He can't boss around Kevin Love and Andre Drummond like he's a 3 star recruit at Michigan.

With that said, it gives the front office even more reason to move on from their vets and give Beilein a true shot. But to fire a coach halfway into a season in his 5 year contract is ludicrous.
