I don't get the Knicks. What is their plan exactly. CP3 and kids?

A veteran presence to install winning culture, who might attract other pieces.
I mean the rumored offer is Knox, whom they probably think as a bust, and Randle whom they want to move. But I think OKC would want at least our 2021 pick too.

Who y’all have winning tonight? Nugs or Clippers?

Even without the pick that is good for OKC. They save like 25 mil this season only (65 mil total) and get a reclamation project in Knox, a wing player.

What could be alternatives for them? Philly could offer an awful contract (Harris or Horford), mediocre pick(s) and perhaps Richardson, which could be flipped for another pick. So let's say 2 mediocre picks for some 20 mil saved over 2 years. They could still find value in Horford as a veteran leader though, same as they did in CP3.

Milwaukee would offer Bledsoe, a bunch of more or less worthless role players (RLopez, Wilson, Ilyasova), Hill or DiVinzenzo and mediocre pick(s). They save some 10 mil this season and 25 next, total of 35 mil.

I think Milwaukee or Philly would have to add picks and DiVinzenzo or Thybulle to beat NY offer without the pick.

I still think Clippers

Good question. I will be watching for some hated Clippers to blow it for them or Doc to simply rely on BB platitudes and for his players to not listen.

I've had a lot of fun today seeing Knicks fans lose their minds on twitter over Barrett being left off.

I think Luka was an excellent "recruiter" in the bubble.

Go Heat. Wow, they are good.

Jimmy Butler is a dog, and just as clutch as anyone. And Bam has really improved to be one of the best centers in the league. Heat have a very good chance to get to the finals. But Boston is good too. Looks like a 7 gamer to me.

Nuggets are just too good. Might be the most complete team in the playoffs...teams have no answer for Jokic inside or outside

Joker is picking the Clippers apart with his deft passing. Dude is a amazing player. And they are doing this without Will Barton.

Murray balling out as well!

Stick a fork in the Clippers, they're done. And maybe Doc as well...

RE: Around the NBA 2019-2020 | Mike D'Antoni steps down in HOU - FunkBoreland - 09-15-2020

Playing defense so hard, even with there foot out to deflect those passes.

RE: Around the NBA 2019-2020 | Mike D'Antoni steps down in HOU - StepBackJay - 09-15-2020

Jokic is one of my favorite players. He is the best big-man in the game. Anthony Davis is great but Jokic makes his team better. Best passing big I have ever seen.

When I watch Jokic I want KP doing stuff he does. In some sense they do similar things. KP is not as good as a passer but is maybe underrated. KP isn't as efficient an offensive player but is probably better defensively.

RE: Around the NBA 2019-2020 | Mike D'Antoni steps down in HOU - mtrot - 09-15-2020

Clippers just can't hit right now.  Beverly giving a Herculean defensive effort now.

RE: Around the NBA 2019-2020 | Mike D'Antoni steps down in HOU - FunkBoreland - 09-15-2020

This is the most I've seen Kawhi frustrated, his having to defend a 5, hows he going to have energy on onffense.

RE: Around the NBA 2019-2020 | Mike D'Antoni steps down in HOU - mtrot - 09-15-2020

The Clips are resorting to chucking threes much like the Mavs often tend to devolve into.  And with much the same results. Dodgy

WOW, 7 minutes till there 1st field goal in the 4th quarter for the Clippers. Thats Nuggets defense.
