I'd say the Grizz' level of intensity for this one will be off the chart, as they are on the bubble for the playoffs.  Mavs must match their intensity!  And play smart.  One thing I didn't like last night against the Pelicans was that they too often seemed to be able to push the Mavs offense farther and farther away from the goal, as the shot clock ticked off.  The Mavs have to be more decisive, aggressive, and not hesitant in running an effective offense.

Kristaps 40 bomb incoming

Hope they keep Luka out of this one. Maybe make an excuse to keep Kristaps out of this one too. The Spurs are currently 4 games behind Memphis with 20 to go, I would not be particularly upset if we made that 4.5 and imperiled their 20+ year playoff streak. But that would be more tolerable if both Luka and KP were out. This one is a great time for load management and giving MKG some real run to discover his role with this team

Clippers look like the 2nd seed. They are 10-0 when healthy (Beverely + PG + Kawhi playing).

I prefer to avoid them, which is totally possible.

No excuses this time. Memphis is missing half of team.

If we end up the 7 seed and the Clips get the 2 seed, it will be a short series. We need to be fighting like hell to get the 6 seed and stop acting like every game doesn't matter. At least we'll be well rested to get slaughtered by the Clips I guess. That's a positive.

Only to end up with the 6th seed while the Nuggets overtake the Clippers. Agree that the Mavs need to avoid the Clippers at all costs if they want to make it out of the 1st round. Would even tank a few games if the Clippers are more likely to finish 3rd.

Just need to get even with the 6th seed and then play it by ear to avoid LAC
