“While Kidd was understandably frustrated this season with the team’s injury crisis, he also resented the front office’s midseason Dončić trade, multiple team and league sources say, even if he shared some of Harrison’s frustrations with Dončić that led to his trade of him. That Kidd felt he had been asked to reinvent what had been a roster built around one specific star, team and league sources say, led to the midseason exasperation that notably culminated in him skipping a league-mandated post-game press conference in February.”

@MavsFilmRoom
Tim Cato reports that the calls from the Mavs fanbase for him to fire Nico Harrison “[have] certainly been noted” by Patrick Dumont.

The complicating factor is that Dumont believes that firing Nico could lead the team to a directionless rebuild.

All we need now is for Dumont to issue the dreaded "vote of confidence" statement as a prelude to seeing Nico out the door.

Doesn’t open the archived version for me unfortunately. I hope I‘ll get to read it - the ESPN-article is hard stuff as well:

Does anyone have another link that works?

Every time I come to this forum--which is several times a day--I search for the news that Nico Harrison has been fired.

I think someone said, "...what's done is done, and we have to accept it."  Well...this is true, and I accept it...sort of.  My anger and hatred for Nico burns even hotter now than when I learned of the trade.  At the time of the trade I just felt incredulity, then horror as it became real.  As a lifetime Mavs fan I went through the good and bad, never giving up hope...never giving up hope.

Right now I feel deserted--abandoned--left festering on the road to basketball mediocrity.  Even if Nico is fired today it will take years of rebuilding.  I mean years!  We do have some good players. But we need players that complement each other and can play with our batman, that generational player--our superstar!  You know...like the guy Nico traded for a bag of chips.

Ah well...hold my beer while I get another crying towel.  This one's all wet...

I'm writing this because I know Nico and Dumont read our forum every day.  I'm sure they are listening to what we say and it will affect their decisions going forward.

FIRE NICO!  FIRE NICO!  FIRE NICO!

Ok...that's enough.

Sorry, amigo. I’m coming back every couple of weeks or so to commiserate. Firing Nico won’t be enough for me though. Dumont have to go too. Will cheer for Luka and Doe-Doe in LA, JB in NY, and others as they move in the inevitable fire sale. Will try to take some solace in their likely successes.

Destination Resorts is advertising like crazy for Texas to "legalize it!"  So far, the gambling question is not even getting on the ballot.  How long before Miriam decides to sell the team and her son-in-law gets a new hobby?

We lose Luka after losing Brunson how can any one team suffer from such mental ineptitude and the owner have any confidence in this moron. They traded away talent that should still be here that would amount to an almost guaranteed roster to win multiple championships. I thought OKC was the worst at hanging on to talent but they need to hold Nico's beer.
