Insane the Pistons cannot beat a Maverick team that is trying to lose

The game is over?

I guess everybody is on strike up in here.

(Waving hand in annoyance) Yes, yes, yes, Mavs, we know that you *can* win; it's just extremely unwise to do so. Please put Jaden in and let him chuck some more. That should solve the problem.

Dammit.

As soon as I saw the Pistons come out cold I knew the Mavs were going to win. Dinwiddie becoming Luka solidified that idea too.

And it’s so hard to watch this team continue to piss away everything.

Well, Phoenix is up big on the Cavs, (what has happened with them) so if the score holds, they'll be tied for the 10th spot for now.

@JoeyMistretta_
PJ Washington admitted that the Mavericks are checking the standings “all the time” as they battle for a play-in spot with the Suns.

I hate this season from the bottom of my heart. These idiots are delusional.

Hard to ask the players themselves to phone it in. I actually really love that PJ, Klay, and the rest of the guys WANT to compete even when we’re at rock bottom.

It’s up to Kidd to do what’s actually best though and put dudes in positions where they are not supposed to succeed.

Case in point, Hardy and Christie should’ve had a mandate to shoot at least 18 shots last night each. With all of them coming from isos

Well the turnovers from PJ are not ideal, but he put together another good game (minus the turnovers). Marshall as well.

Dinwiddie isn't my cup of tea for a high usage player, but the past two games he has created a lot of looks for his teammates. That is something that is desperately needed. The 31 points on 12 shots isn't bad either.

Kai Jones and Williams make another strong case. Hardy was brutal and Christie very quiet.

Tough to tell what is real though. You don't get that big game feel with anyone going up against the Mavs. They know they are a team that they should beat.

Dinwiddie is our curse...

Correct. But teams in a position such as the Mavs can pull a rabbit out of the hat sometimes, as they did Friday. The Mavs shot well from the field, had over twice as many FTs, and seemed to get all the 50/50 balls and lucky bounces vs. Detroit. It happens. That was a loss Detroit will look back on as they fight for seeding vs. Indiana and Milwaukee.

Well if we did okay enough to win that is okay, I can forgive there not wanting to tank we just need to find out who is going to be here next year and start picking what we have to keep vs what we need to jetison. I possibly would try to trade down for brooklyns picks and add multiple firsts

Even if we make it into the playoffs we need to look at teams who are a loss or two near us in the rankings so a loss then may move us up a spot on opportunity to improve our pick. One such a game I see being critical now based on records we have is coming up against Orlando. Both teams will be trying to improve playoff positioning but have similar records and a loss to Orlando might impact our pick a spot lower so it would benefit us.

In a play in I expect us to see what we have more intensely because you need to win right away so I won't mind us getting in to the play in. If they think our team is ready to challenge for a ring when AD and Irving are back and they fail during the play in they can start to see what they need to change and WTFU from their delusions in time to make some noise in the draft.

According to the big board at tankathon rankings.

I assume we will be looking for a PG since that is what Irving is. Best Big available is also an area of need since we can no longer trust the health of any of our bigs so if we can find a bad ass big that hits 3's a la Dirk I would hope this teams braintrust recognizes things like that still.
PG
13 Nolan Traore
15 Egor Demin
18 Ben Saraf
23 Sergio de Larrea
25 Labaron Philon

Bigs:
Danny Wolf,
sleeper Max Raynaud https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2ZIf72ekrI 33 points and 14 rebounds in this game
