Milwaukee is banged up. Middleton,  Lopez, and Donte have missed significant time. They need to get healthy first.

This graph says we are one of the leagues worst ten teams.

Our record says we are a top ten team.

Seems absolutly accurate.

One of those two things is "lying" so-to-speak....we will find out in the next 10-20 games likely which one is the "true Mavs."

Ready for the KAT trade rumors to start already.  That dude is not a happy camper.

Can't wait for the Twolves to trade him to a competent franchise so they can watch three straight dudes go get championships elsewhere.

Man, that video of him just walking back down court when ANT started his dribble said all you need to hear about how that team is doing.

KP for KAT, anyone?

KAT is obviously the better player by a mile, but I have serious concerns about KAT's drive to win. Dude seems to give up at the first sign of adversity. The amount of plays he takes off defensively would make each and every single one of the KP haters pull out their hair watching him.

But the dude is a bucket. Probably the second best stretch shooting big ever only behind Dirk. That kind of offensive power next to Luka would be tantalizing. But I can't seem to get around the fact that despite KAT's otherworldly numbers, it never translates to wins. And it's not like he has shown what it takes to win from behind.

Is KAT's offensive firepower that much greater over KP's where we can just overlook any step back on defense he might bring with his addition? Are we fine with saying  that KAT is the final investment of assets and major piece we can bring next to Luka for the next 5 years? Pretty risky if you ask me.

Yeah, I have been saying that for over a year. But neither front office will do it. Smile

Well, I do think we might be headed for a timeline in which Towns is available, but I agree that he won't be available for Porzingis...probably.

Oh, well.

The concerns are valid, but I would argue the risk is less than KP.  If you could really pull that trigger, I think you would have to.

Don't know about Kat's will to win. Jimmy Butler called him and Wiggins out before he forced his way out Minny.

KAT for KP + Brunson?

In a heartbeat.  There are many more things you can do offensively with KAT over KP. I would throw in Brunson too if that’s what is needed.

Why would Minny do it?  KP is still an extremely talented young player who will be an easy sell for that fan base. KP mentality is also more of someone who wants to be the face of the franchise than KAT. Both actually would fit in better if they exchanged teams. Plus while we look at the contract as a possible negative, there will be many franchises that welcome the security of the asset they are trading for being there for a few years.

Suns, GSW and Raptors all have good chance to get KAT.
OKC, Pelicans and Pistons too if they decided to accelerate their rebuild

Yeah, I understand how people fall in love with KAT's offensive numbers but he's always struck me as an empty stats guy. This is now his 7th year in the league and the Timberwolves are a combined 189-288 over that time. I know it's a team game, but at some point you either contribute to Ws or you don't. I do think it would be interesting to see him a different uniform to finally figure out if he's really that good or just an entertaining tank commander.
