RE: Trade & FA 2024-25:PG Opts OUT! | Klay Between LAL and DAL - SleepingHero - 06-29-2024 Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) ESPN Sources: Paul George is planning to take free agent meetings with the Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers and Orlando Magic beginning late Sunday night and Monday on the West Coast. RE: Trade & FA 2024-25:PG Opts OUT! | LBJ Opts Out | GSW Preparing to Lose Klay - KillerLeft - 06-29-2024 (06-29-2024, 06:11 PM)DanSchwartzgan Wrote: All of this is predicated on the idea that LAL gets DJJ. That changes a bunch of what we've presumed the last few days. Why are we predicating things on that idea? Has anyone aside from Grant Aseth made that connection? He’s insightful, but at the end of the day he is a small time Dallas guy, uber focused on Jones. Do we think giving the MLE to a non-spacer is likely to be the Lakers’ first major move after hiring JJ Redick, who talked for an hour at his introductory press conference about “generating more good threes?” There might be a team angling to convince Jones to leave the Mavericks, but I would bet any amount of money I could get my hands on that the Lakers aren’t it. RE: Trade & FA 2024-25:Woj- Klay+GSW Unlikely to Return| UTA to Take Offers on Lauri - audiosway - 06-29-2024 (06-29-2024, 03:11 PM)dirkfansince1998 Wrote: The bench unit with CP3 was one of the few bright spots for the Warriors. So good that they even tried to start CP3 instead of Klay for a few weeks. Thompson stood out as the player with the worst plus/minus numbers on the team in any given role. Didn't work next to Curry/Draymond. Was even worse off the bench. No worries. I don't take anything personally. The only thing I've noticed the athletic decline affect is his closeouts and drives on offense. On defense it's forcing him to slide more at an angle into help rather than laterally to cut the player off. He normally has enough length to make up for it with blocks on the back side. All of that I said has a price though. I'm not getting into a bidding war for him. I put a price tag on it and don't go over that. He's not that player anymore. I do not think Lebron is sacrificing his paycheck for DJJ. RE: Trade & FA 2024-25:PG to Meet LAC, PHI, ORL | Klay Between LAL and DAL - KillerLeft - 06-29-2024 Dan, is it just the agency change that has you shook? I know you like to track that stuff, but I don’t think it’s necessarily indicative of a problem in this case. RE: Trade & FA 2024-25:PG to Meet LAC, PHI, ORL | Klay Between LAL and DAL - LukaMVP - 06-29-2024 with all those Klay rumours going around, I think almost everyone on this board can agree that Jerami Grant would be our top trade target, also a bit risky given his contract but as a player he would solve many of our issues, if not all. sorry to Klay but he's indeed just a plan B for both Dallas and Golden State. Nico might have made like a thousand calls to Portland's GM but apparently the blazers demand more than what we can afford, so we are gonna settle for plan B it seems like. but on the other hand Nico might just be using these rumors to bargain with the blazers imho. RE: Trade & FA 2024-25:PG to Meet LAC, PHI, ORL | Klay Between LAL and DAL - rocky164 - 06-29-2024 Personally, I’d rather sign DJJ and stay with what we have in the hope that the price for Jerami Grant comes down by the trade deadline than sign Klay. But I can live with Klay and be happy depending on the contract. I know you like to track that stuff, but I don’t think it’s necessarily indicative of a problem in this case. I actually think it makes sense. Offense wasn’t their problem. Their 23rd ranked D was the issue. He’s a multi-positional defender who can take pressure off of James when they play together or replace his D when Lebron is off. JJ doesn’t buy the groceries. Also if I were the agent being able to get Lebron to take a discount for my new guy is a pretty compelling argument to the next player I might want to want to flip to the dark side. Finally, is it a little worrisome to anyone else that nothing has leaked? I get that there might be a strategic advantage to not making an announcement. You know who can’t leak anything about signing DJJ? Everyone but us. I think a package of maxi/green/hardy/Powell plus a first round pick if necessary would be the best offer from us. blazers on the other hand also need some time to estimate the market of Jerami imho. |
