Just not sure how we can compete against good teams with no size.    It will take a monumental effort each night.

They are deliberately delaying giving updates so as not to further erupt the fanbase. It's pretty clear.

An endless sequence of wrong and fooled moves.

This our FO. Great.

But they do win games. They get credit for being a top 2 team the last 2 years. They also handedly swept NOP last playoffs, but that's not saying much. It took literally everything from the Mavs to win against them and a few bounces here or there was the difference between winning in 6 or losing in 5.

I am intrigued to see, in an ideal perfect world where injuries do not exist, what this Mavs team and OKC team look like against each other. Theoretically the Mavs are bigger, stronger, and dominant inside. OKC's perimeter defense could also just suffocate the Mavs out from ever running a good halfcourt offense. Super interesting to be honest.

Regardless, I'm not even looking at the playoffs being a realistic goal right now. The Mavs are hovering between the 7th-10 seed every other game with 7 guys being out. If AD can get healthy, and most important stay healthy, then maybe they have a shot to get to the 6th seed.

I don’t remember the series being particularly close. My memory is crappy though, so maybe you’re right.

Games 3 and 4 came down to 4 points each. Game 6 came down to the last final shot where PJ got fouled by Shai and the Mavs won by 1.

So 3 games were decided by a total of 9 points. It was a very competitive series.

Yes, OKC actually scored more points than Mavs in that series and the Mavs were very hot from 3 (shot roughly 40%) against a very good perimeter defense.  That was easily the toughest Western conference series they had.

PJ was a superstar in that series. Insane.

They have a good young roster.  I am by no means a big SGA fan, but beyond him they have a good mid range shooting 2 guard, 2 very good defenders in Chet and Dort, and a decent rim defender/rebounder in Hartenstein.

They are a better team than last year.  I am not sure you can say that about the Mavericks at this point.  I could see OKC being upset by the #8 if it ends up being the Warriors or the Wolves.  At the same time I am not sure Dallas is going to make it out of the play-in.

Marshall is under 30% from three for the year. Not great. I think the shots he passes up may be worse though. Looking how this team wants to play moving forward, the floor will have big bodies on it. Marshall has a real nice inside the paint touch. It is just going to be real crowded in there. His moves are going to take him right into the teeth of the defense. If he cannot be a mid 30 open three point shooter, at the least, I don't think he fits here when the squad is healthy.

I imagine they'll give us another date 2 weeks after March 6th for next update.

Looking like a lost season.

Couldn't agree more.  I have been a Marshall hater since day one.  He had an amazing two week stretch at the start of the season that had me going what the heck. Hopefully he's gone this offseason.

Marshall, Gafford, Martin, Omax, Hardy, all 1st rd picks are on the table. It should be fairly easy for Nico to get Kyrie some help this summer.

Anyone using an Apple TV box along with a subscription to Mavs TV?

I tried Fubo but it is ass. Keeps buffering even though I have 1 gig fiber internet.

He is barely playable in PO right now with that %... We have too much not shooters small forwards and with AD at the 4 it's a big problem.

I went the HD antenna route, and so glad I did. It works quite well, and I have the satisfaction of not paying for a service I suddenly find less than appealing.

I can’t get an antenna to work. I’m surrounded by high rises. It only picks up like 4 channels.

I'd usually never suggest it first but sailing the seas if you catch my drift has never looked more appealing. Unfortunately the biggest sites have been DMCA'd and I have yet to find any reliable replacements.

The MavsTV subscription just works through the NBA league pass subscription but at a discounted rate, so I'd imagine it would work quite well. I've used the NBA app with my PS5/Xbox/Roku countless of times and never had any issue. The app itself isn't the best U-I wise but it gets the job done.

I did the sling subscription and get pretty much all NBA games and a ton of other channels

I’m a huge fan of Naji and I think they are working with him on shooting. He has shown an improvement to his 2 point percentage this year. But his 3 point shot is down from last year. He was at 38.7% from 3 last year. So, he can shoot. I think his confidence is down. I’m fine with him being more developed in games like last night. He is on a 3 year deal and is a very good passer, rebounder, and team defender.

He just turned 27 and still has time to improve. It’s been nice seeing Kidd get the young guys into games that are more winnable. Smart coaching. People always complained about not developing and letting younger players learn on the court. This is what it looks like. Going to be interesting to see how improves.

I agree that he isn’t ready for playoff ball yet. But his rebounding and how sees the floor is pretty fun to watch.

His career three point percentage is barely over 30, so right now it looks like last year (which was not a huge sample) was more an outlier than something to expect.  To Chicago's point he shoots low volume, giving up good looks as well.  Low volume plus low percentage is not a good combination.

I'm definitely concerned about him passing up shots and shooting poorly. Just hoping that he improves. I agree though that he is definitely not ready for a late in the season rotation. Not shooting like he has been. You are spot on that the team needs shooting.

Martin may take Naji's minutes in a playoff series. Career 36% from 3 and 40% in the postseason.
