Scott mentioned earlier that we've may have been overreacting to this stretch due to no PJ and I am starting to believe he's been right.

LIVELY'S DEFENSE IS ACTUALLY INSANE

RE: Game 14: Dallas Mavericks (6-7) vs. Oklahoma City Thunder (11-2) | 6:00pm CST - SleepingHero - 11-17-2024

AND THEN LIVELY WITH A CRAZY FLOATER SHEESH

Naji Marshall with yet another steal.

The thunder are literally scared to shoot the ball in the paint when lively is in the game. That is not hyperbolic in any way. He is the most dominant player on the floor right now, by far, and probably will deserve the Dirkie if they win this game.

I agree with the first sentence but PJ is unanimous Dirkie winner if the Mavs win.

MAVS +22 ON THE BOARDS.

KYRIE WITH THE CUT THROAT 3 MY GOODNESS

Things I never thought I’d type in this forum: I wish Dinwiddie had shot that instead of creating the open corner look for Thompson.

Thankfully, Kyrie saved the possession with a crazy shot.

Because Lively and PJ are boxing out instead of trying to rebound whore their counting numbers.

Hey, no one is a bigger fan of PJ than me, but I promise you that won’t be unanimous. Lively’s defense has been the difference tonight.

I wish they could play him 48 minutes.

Without Luka they have actually created all the open looks for him the Mavs anticipated, when they signed Klay. He just missed them all.

They are boxing out for sure.

But no Chet, Hartenstein, and the other Jaylin Williams is the reason why the Mavs are destroying the rebounding numbers.

23/15 and still counting on 50/75 shooting with awesome defense. Tough!

To be fair, if Luka ever gets around to Lukaing, Thompson will get all those shots and more.

But yeah, he still has to make them.

Nah, bc Lively.

Shai would've reacted to being hit near the eye and he doesn't. Zero contact.

And if they are calling that, then they need to call every touch foul they are doing on Lively and Gafford.
