RE: MAVS NEWS: Nico Harrison is a Basketball Terrorist - SkenfromLMF - 02-04-2025 For Caleb Martin??? Does this prevent any Buyout signings now?? RE: MAVS NEWS: Nico Harrison is a Basketball Terrorist - BoredAssistant - 02-04-2025 Is there any way Nico can help push the Knicks over the top? I think Lively complements KAT. RE: MAVS NEWS: Nico Harrison is a Basketball Terrorist - SleepingHero - 02-04-2025 @townbrad Statement from Mavs in response to reports the franchise has offered refunds of up to $2,000 to fans who have cancelled season tickets. “We value every season ticket member relationship and reps are available to take calls from members with any concerns or questions.” RE: MAVS NEWS: Nico Harrison is a Basketball Terrorist - JamesConway912 - 02-04-2025 (02-04-2025, 01:25 PM)Deebo Wrote: I think Nico wants to win next 2-3 years and then he’s out. He’s operating like someone who only has couple years. Doesn’t care about loyalty That’s such a random headscratcher. They keep saying it’s about winning now but they’ve just punted away the season. There is zero possibility that this team will go on a run now. There’s no continuity left and the team’s morale is at an alltime low. The just got destroyed in Cleveland and that will probably happen more often than not now. Luka lead this team to the finals just a few months ago. The team isn’t old either. It was the perfect situation to keep the core intact, build more chemistry and make another run for it with some smart additions (Klay, Grimes, Naji). Instead they burned this to the ground. By the start of the upcoming season Kyrie might not even be here anymore and AD will be even older. They also have riddened themselves of future draft picks bc of moves in the past and then gifted away draft capital to the Lakers in the trade „negotiations“. Just amateurish stuff no matter where you look. RE: MAVS NEWS: Nico Harrison is a Basketball Terrorist - SleepingHero - 02-04-2025 @GrantAfseth Quentin Grimes has been downgraded to out by the Dallas Mavericks for tonight's matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers due to "trade pending." Caleb Martin is listed as out for the same reason. RE: MAVS NEWS: Nico Harrison is a Basketball Terrorist - Ghost of Podkolzin - 02-04-2025 This is an awful trade. Offense is similar. Grimes is a much better defender and 5 years younger. Looks like Nico is targeting older, less talented players for trade. Eek. Drazen Petrovic RE: MAVS NEWS: Nico Harrison is a Basketball Terrorist - SleepingHero - 02-05-2025 @MikeACurtis2 Daniel Gafford told me he got hit in the head last night & it caused his neck to jam up. He said his left arm numbed & he couldn’t feel anything. Said he probably should’ve played through it. I asked if he’ll be available for Thursday’s game in Boston: “I’ll be on the floor.” RE: MAVS NEWS: Nico Harrison is a Basketball Terrorist - Chicagojk - 02-05-2025 The roster doesn't make sense. No big trade though, please. I am all traded out. I loved our center rotation. Thought it was such a strong point with our previous team. Love Lively present and future and thought Gafford really complimented him and the team. Now, Gafford seems like a odd part. You can't trade him now with Lively out for a month or two longer. I have no idea how good of a PF AD can be. I can envision Lively and AD causing havoc, but it could also be awkward. Lively will really need to expand his offensive game to get the most out of the pairing. For it to work they both will need to be in the closing lineup. If not, that is less than ideal. Both players should be two of your three/four best players. I have grown to love PJ as a 4. I am less than thrilled with him at 3. If he is really a 37% three point shooter than this could work. Maybe 15 minutes at three and the rest at 4. While he is a pretty good straight line driver, I am less thrilled of him doing this more from the three. I think he is better doing it against bigger players. With that front court, the Kyrie and Klay backcourt just doesn't work for me. You have one guy who can create and he is much better as a scorer. Just seems like a really odd pairing. Although, I don't think they would bring klay off the bench. And who else can fill that need on the roster? I don't know how you can say with a straight face that this teams roster is ready to win now. It doesn't fit. RE: MAVS NEWS: Nico Harrison is a Basketball Terrorist - SleepingHero - 02-05-2025 (02-05-2025, 09:43 AM)Chicagojk Wrote: The roster doesn't make sense. No big trade though, please. I am all traded out. The AD-Lively combo really only works if Lively can suddenly become a 3pt shooter. I know Kidd and Lively have been teasing all year that he’s been practicing it, but I’ll believe it when I see it. If Lively can become a stretch 5, and a reliable one, then that tandem all of a sudden looks incredibly menacing for opposing teams. Both are switchable 7 foot guys that can guard in space. AD is lethal from 15ft to the basket. Lively has a post up game and can hit 3s. Both are lob threats. I can see it. Of course you need a good guard that can pair with them *cough*. But I digress. I think PJ can float between a 3-4 and that makes him valuable. Gafford just doesn’t make much sense anymore especially if we’re closing with AD. Naji has been good but I’m not attached at all with his play and think he can be replaced pretty easily. Christie I’m fine throwing in a trade too. come summer time when we can combine Christie, Martin, Naji, and Gafford add up to 40mil. Add in Klay and we can get to the KDs of the world and finally be all in with whatever this is. |
