True. Mavs looked good at the 1, 2 and 3 spots. Looked like they were playing G leaguers at the 4 and 5. Probably because they were.

Mavs played hard. Got a good whistle. Kidd even coached a nice game. This is the best they could do. Get used to it. They’ll be really good when AD is available but that will be day to day. Otherwise, they’re 50-50 at best.

Davis will be sidelined a few weeks probably a month, by then we would already be in a good tanking position imho.

Tanking is okay now but when we get all 3 of our bigs back nobody can match our size inside and we can just get into the 10th spot and take over after that.

The team fought hard tonight but the IQ was sort of missing on the court a lot when guys like Kessler were searching to find someone to pass the ball to and could not accomplish that simple task. They looked clueless and ran time off as they were unable to find anyone. They need to understand that instead of doing that they sould move with the ball and draw some attention and then look for a target to pass to. It should be taught to them that they need to cause the other team to think that they are a scoring threat so they can create some gravity so that somebody comes off of a guy that they are guarding and then that will create an open player to pass the ball to. Duh how hard is it to know this?

Problem with tanking now is there are too many teams below them with horrible records. Don’t know how it would improve their draft position much. I don’t want them to give up a ridiculous amount of players and picks for Flagg.

agree we are one of the best teams in the league if fully healthy but question is when they'll be back.  even if they can return in time for the playoffs and we are not poor enough to fall out of the top ten by then, will they be 100% fit? any chance for us to beat the top 1 or 2 seed?

OKC or Memphis would be horrible matchups in the playoffs.  Any other team the Mavs would put up a good fight.

If they get fully healthy, they aren't likely to stay that way for long with Lively and AD.

it's not always the team with the worst records that ends up winning the lottery (Hawks only barely missed the playoffs last season, they got defeated in the playins if I remember correct). 25' draft class is so stacked a top 8 something draft will be good enough to put us over the top imho, not necessarily Flagg.

I'm not that concerned about OKC tbh we've beat them a couple of times. Memphis would be a tough matchup and the nuggets shouldn't be overlooked either. Lakers may be a dark horse as well.

Bailey and Harper are really good and could help the backcourt tremendously.  I’ve watched Demin a few times and don’t get the hype with him.

We are still waiting on Jason Kidd or a player in the room where press conferences are held.

Much longer wait than usual as the game ended over 15 minutes ago.

If it were only that simple. Dallas is not the only big team in the NBA. Cleveland, for one, can match up with them. They first need to get healthy before we even talk about anything else.

Mavs on a path to overplay Kyrie. Last 4 games, 39 minutes was the least he played. 43 in this one. This is not sustainable imho

Main reason I don't think Kidd was on team Trade Luka for a Big

RE: Game 54: Sacramento Kings (26-26) vs. Dallas Mavericks (28-25) - LukaMVP - 02-11-2025

mavs are exhausting Kyrie pretending they're still trying to win games. as soon as Kyrie also picks an injury the tanking will officially begin, just hope Kyrie won't get hurt too bad and the team won't win many games to ruin the tank.
