DiVincenzo hasn’t been great either, from what I’ve seen. RE: AROUND the NBA: Trouble in PHI? | PG13 Injured - Chicagojk - 11-23-2024 Mavs next game is at the Heat on Sunday. Weird the last game the Heat played was on Monday. Almost a week off. That doesn’t happen much right? I agree it’s weird. RE: AROUND the NBA: Inside The NBA Will Continue On ABC - SleepingHero - 11-23-2024 (11-22-2024, 08:40 PM)MarkAguirreWrathofGod Wrote: Randle should have passed him the ball. DiVincenzo hasn’t been great either, from what I’ve seen. 2 wrongs occurred there, but 1 is significantly worse in my opinion. Randle definitely missed a good play. He should have passed the ball. But bad plays/low IQ moments happen ALL the time in games. And it’s already a noted flaw in Randle’s game. It could’ve been an easy dunk for Rudy though. And he should’ve made that pass. But for Rudy to then pout, take himself out of the game mentally, and get called on a 3second call because he didn’t get the ball is the most prime example of loser wussy behavior I have seen in a long time. You can excuse and coach out Randle’s mistake. You can’t excuse that from Rudy. That is such a grave sin imo that I’d be shipping him out tomorrow Nellie style. And Ant recognized that too! RE: AROUND the NBA: Trouble in PHI? | PG13 Injured - SleepingHero - 11-24-2024 @ShamsCharania Charlotte Hornets forward Grant Williams has suffered a season-ending torn ACL in his knee, sources told ESPN. Williams averaged 10.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists this season. I know single game +/- doesn’t really mean anything but KAT being a -34 and his backup Jericho Sims being a +19 makes my eyebrows raise RE: AROUND the NBA: Trouble in PHI? | PG13 Injured - SleepingHero - 11-24-2024 Seems like Grant really blew up his knee. Poor dude @ShamsCharania ESPN story on Hornets’ Grant Williams lost for the season after damage to multiple ligaments and meniscus: RE: AROUND the NBA: Trouble in PHI? | PG13 Injured - Scott41theMavs - 11-24-2024 (11-24-2024, 01:25 PM)SleepingHero Wrote: @ShamsCharania I know there's plenty of animus in the fandom about GW's time here, but I hate to see that happen to anyone. ![]() RE: AROUND the NBA: Trouble in PHI? | PG13 Injured - KillerLeft - 11-24-2024 (11-24-2024, 02:59 PM)Scott41theMavs Wrote: I know there's plenty of animus in the fandom about GW's time here, but I hate to see that happen to anyone. RE: AROUND the NBA: Trouble in PHI? | PG13 Injured - SleepingHero - 11-25-2024 @ShamsCharania Boston Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis plans to make his season debut tonight against the Los Angeles Clippers, sources tell ESPN. Porzingis returns five months after undergoing foot surgery RE: AROUND the NBA: Trouble in PHI? | PG13 Injured - Mavs2021 - 11-26-2024 (11-25-2024, 12:33 PM)SleepingHero Wrote: @ShamsCharania Must be so nice that you can sit out 90% of the season knowing that you are not needed until the NBA finals, while 40 year old Horford needs to bust his a** for you. Porzingis is the perfect example of the East/West problem. No way Boston comes out of the West (or best 16 play-offs) winning the title, while resting Porzingis for three rounds, but in the East he can just chill and be labelled as this great move. ![]() RE: AROUND the NBA: Embiid May be Shutdown…? - SleepingHero - 11-26-2024 From Hoopshype quoting Sam Amick: My understanding is that there was a setback with Joel at some point, but this is where it gets tricky: Joel is notoriously private about his body and pushes the Sixers to be as secretive as possible. This is why they got fined recently. It wasn’t for load management comments—they got fined because their public statements didn’t align with reality. The league dug into Joel’s medical records and concluded his left knee situation was legitimate and serious. The Sixers, however, publicly claimed he was healthy and ready to go, implying it was just load management. That doesn’t sit well with the NBA’s TV partners. It creates confusion, and while I can’t pinpoint the medical term for Joel’s issue, it seems real and concerning. He was fully participating in Team USA activities during the Olympics, so something happened between then and now. It’s clear that his movement isn’t right, and it feels like we’re heading toward an inevitable shutdown procedure for a bigger injury.” RE: AROUND the NBA: Embiid May be Shutdown…? - Mavs2021 - 11-26-2024 (11-26-2024, 01:01 PM)SleepingHero Wrote: From Hoopshype quoting Sam Amick: We shouldn´t forget that Embiid was an Oden-esque red flag coming out of college. Maybe this is just the end of the road. Maybe all his perceived lack of training/playing was just smart injury management to a certain extent. I would have handled Yao Ming the same way. Instead he busted out 100 games a year including the national team and by year 7 (?) his body was completely broken down. Given that their own pick is top 6 protected, they might secretly consider a trade. This would be easier, if they hadn´t loaded up on PG 13. Though I wonder whether which teams would even be interested in Embiid, who imho is a regular season FT merchant. Indiana? Sacramento? The East is weaker for sure, but If Boston was in the West, they'd still be a top 3 team with or without him, and still could come out the West. They're the champs until proven otherwise.
