Might as well bring some marshmallows to roast and enjoy the show. If Nico's job isn't in danger and if we are lucky, he's only submarined the franchise for the next five years. With the Mavs luck, it will be another decade. And the organization, not to be confused with the fans, deserve it for giving away a 25 year old superstar. RE: Trade & FA 2024-25: - FireNicoHarrison - 03-08-2025 What makes you think KD wants to come to Dallas? He wants to choice his team... Dallas has 0 chances to win a championship, he doesn't care if Harrison wants him. He wants to win. RE: Trade & FA 2024-25: - HoosierDaddyKid - 03-08-2025 https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6182741/2025/03/07/quentin-grimes-fresh-start-76ers-highlights/?source=emp_shared_article&redirected=1 Quentin Grimes on his fresh start. What makes you think his primary goal is winning? He left Golden State. I think he just wants to put up shots/points and have a coach that leaves him alone to do so. No schemes. No running plays. Last warning. You seem less interested in actually talking with fellow Mavs fans and more hellbent on trying to be "right" all time about how awful the Mavs are. We are all angry at the FO. You aren't special. Start actually trying to contribute. Ok? Again. Last warning before a ban. - SH RE: Trade & FA 2024-25: - SleepingHero - 03-10-2025 From Marc Stein’s latest article: Dallas has been repeatedly described as a potential Kevin Durant suitor, before the deadline and since, but I continue to hear that reports of its interest have been overstated. The Mavericks, based on my best read, are not currently planning for a three-star construction. I mean, unless they're planning to give up on Kyrie, which I would be at this point, but don't believe they are. I get that "well, they ARE morons" is a plausible argument at the current moment in time, but if/when I reach the point where I definitively believe that, I'm probably going to stop wasting my time on this team. I only watched two Cowboys games this season, and my fall was much more enjoyable as a result. I mean, unless they're planning to give up on Kyrie, which I would be at this point, but don't believe they are. If we do go for a major upgrade as a clear number 3 or perhaps number 4 starter but not an older totally expensive star, who might that be? I never thought anybody could tell Jerry "hold my beer" but I'm afraid that is what we are witnessing. RE: Trade & FA 2024-25: - RoyTarpleysGhost - 03-10-2025 I think the clear need is a playmaker/offensive creator that can start while Kyrie is out and switch to a different role when Kyrie is back. Coby White, Anfernee Simons, Malik Monk/Demar Derozan?, Chris Paul?, Keyonte George, Denis Schroeder RE: Trade & FA 2024-25: - cow - 03-10-2025 (03-10-2025, 04:28 PM)KillerLeft Wrote: They'd have to be morons to want him, honestly. I struggle to see any reason why anyone could have faith in this organization based on the moves they made, but I'm willing to listen. Kind of similar to how we where forced to develop Lively because Dwight Powell was his main competition? RE: Trade & FA 2024-25: - RoyTarpleysGhost - 03-11-2025 Couldn't tell you anyone in the draft other than Cooper Flagg. RE: Trade & FA 2024-25: - FireNicoHarrison - 03-11-2025 Be great at drafting is better than an high pick... It's not our case but it's cool to write RE: Trade & FA 2024-25: - SleepingHero - 03-11-2025 @TheDunkCentral The Phoenix Suns could receive four first-round picks and a rising star in a potential trade package for Devin Booker, per @DuaneRankin “Sources informed The Republic the Suns could probably get four first round picks for Booker and a rising star in his third or fourth year.” RE: Trade & FA 2024-25: - KillerLeft - 03-11-2025 (03-11-2025, 10:47 AM)SleepingHero Wrote: @TheDunkCentral Would've been nice to get a package like that (or better) for Luka, tbqh. But I will say, I would sell the farm for Booker. AD+Booker is a crazy core. If we could keep Lively, even better. Wishful dreaming but still. RE: Trade & FA 2024-25: - cow - 03-11-2025 Booker? And he’s shown he can do whatever it takes to fit in to at least try to win. On team USA he was one of their most important guys just because he actually took the mantle to lead them defensively. On the Suns he’s tried to be their point guard, although not well. I admire he’s tried. Not his fault the team shot themselves in the foot with the Beal trade. |
