Great play by Grimes

I can’t believe how negative some of you guys are in these game threads. Gutty, short handed win after gutty, short handed win, and all anyone can do in these threads is complain.

We should be over the moon ecstatic that Luka is already back and looks this good. That Grimes, Dinwiddie, Marshall and Washington have all found their place in his absence. Gafford looks great off the bench, and is able to step up when Lively misses games. Hardy showed signs of snapping out of a funk tonight. Hell, even Powell contributed greatly to this victory.

Portland playing the foul game, while Utah timeouts away their own game-winner. Hopefully Silver is paying attention, so he sets the ping-pong ball machine on the correct number.

Considering how hot Portland was that was a quality win. Portland is a little better than I thought.

Hopefully I'm not an object of your ire... I agree. Big to win this game without Kyrie, Marshall, and Lively on a back-to-back.

So well said.  Could you imagine our having this team same time last year?  We had more holes than a gang bang; now it's just replacing Maxi.

Grant and Simons are both legit studs.

There are several times i am no, no, no on some of din shots. But he has been on a roll and has validated kidd’s leash for him earlier in the season.

Nice win. Impressive shooting by both times. Several times it felt like the mavs were running away from Portland but they kept on making shots.

Just finished watching the game, another gutsy performance. There’s always someone stepping up despite the constant injuries/sicknesses. Really impressive.

Can’t believe we’ve actually had successful challenge. Felt like hell just froze over but I’ll take it.

Luka with the best game of the season Imo. Grimes with another huge game, PJ, Dinwiddie and Gafford were also impressive.

The team is now on a 50+ win pace despite barely ever playing at full strength.

"Both teams, played hard". Also, both teams shot over 50% from 3, with the Blazers over 58%. Hard to beat a team hitting that type of percent from 3, unless you're almost matching it, which the Mavs were.

Two thoughts on Dinwiddie: Kidd trusts him because he delivered three years ago and Kidd doesn’t judge him by his shooting percentages but by his playmaking, because Kidd himself often had bad shooting numbers but was in full control of the game anyways.
