Toronto is $967k over the Tax line, but the big deal there is them missing out on the ~$14M distribution check from the league as a non-taxpayer. Barrett+Poeltl for Sabonis is a net -$4.8M for Toronto. Landing them their Big and getting them under the tax. How many picks it takes, I don’t know, but it makes a lot of sense for all involved. I can see TOR sending up to the maximum amount of cash in the deal to MEM also.

If a trade with Toronto materializes, the Mavs would have to take back significant salaries into next season and beyond, so Dallas is prioritizing draft compensation in those discussions.

Davis, who has been sidelined by a hand injury since early January, is averaging 20.1 points and 11.1 rebounds in 20 games this season.

The Mavericks (19-31) entered Wednesday on a five-game losing streak and are 12th in the Western Conference, 3.5 games behind the 10th-place Portland Trail Blazers (23-28).

The Raptors (30-21), on the other hand, are in the thick of the Eastern Conference playoff race and entered Wednesday tied with the Cleveland Cavaliers for fourth place.

No one offered a 1st for Naji. 
Klay has one year left on his deal that no one wants.
No one wants DLo above the minimum.  He's opting in to his option for next year.
