RE: Trade & FA 2024-25: Lavine Is Immovable | Lakers Want Valanciunas?| Lebron Trade? - Knutsen - 12-14-2024 (12-14-2024, 06:04 PM)DallasMaverick Wrote: Such a cancerous personality. The Nets don’t want to win any games this year so they don’t need Schröder in their team. He‘s playing a really strong season and putting up 18.4 points and 6.6 assists. I hate that the Warriors are getting him for free. Concerning his character: he‘s definitely edgy like Rondo was, but when it‘s go-time in the playoffs you want him on your side, because he‘s playing his best when it counts the most - the anti-Exum so to say. And I‘m not even talking about Fiba-Schröder who made Germany world champions. RE: Trade & FA 2024-25: Warriors in Advanced Talks to Acquire Schroeder - SleepingHero - 12-14-2024 @ShamsCharania The Brooklyn Nets are finalizing a deal to send guard Dennis Schroder and one second-round pick to the Golden State Warriors for De'Anthony Melton and three second-round picks, sources told ESPN. A dynamic playmaker and scorer arriving to the Warriors. RE: Trade & FA 2024-25: Warriors in Advanced Talks to Acquire Schroder - SleepingHero - 12-14-2024 @esidery Keep an eye on the Pistons making a move in the next 24 hours. After waiving Paul Reed, Detroit must reach the minimum salary floor with another transaction by Sunday night with two open roster spots. Detroit will either sign a free agent or make a trade. Any interest in him as a backup big? If Gafford and another player happen to be on the move then yes! Otherwise, not sure we have many minutes for him. I actually find it quite interesting that you're more open to Zion on his max contract given how opposed you were to KP when he was here. Especially since Zion is actually more fragile than KP and has missed way more games than Porzingis has. I haven't looked at Zion's contract, but even with non-guarantees, he's due a significant portion of the cap. It scares the crap outta me committing to a guy that even remotely resembles KP in terms of health. I wouldn't be so sure that 2 FRP wouldn't be enough though. I don't see many teams wanting to take on the risk of Zion and his fragility paired with his max contract. That alone could depress his value considerably. But that trade if the Mavs were to make it now would certainly put them further away from a title than they are currently. I think this is a player they revisit come next summer after Kyrie got his extension and Zion is still in New Orleans about to become a FA. Then I can see the Mavs rolling the dice. It really sounds like Zion moved into a McDonald´s with Dr. Oz as his personal trainer and doctor. The idea of Zion and reality of Zion are two different things. He is a nice player to watch, but if you are contending for a championship, he can't be on one of the 5 most important players on the team. He already went from the ''next face of the league'' to the level where everybody quitted on him. In my opinion also Pelicans with that contract quitted on him and knew something media doesn't. In my opinion they are just waiting on some desperate offer for him, but becuase of his big salary it will be hard to match that contract. Also, Zion isn't trying to play impactfull defense and his off-ball play is even worse. That, compared with his injury concerns, his ideal role could be 6 man, to add scoring to the second unit and his injuries won't bothering results of the team. I also don't like his comments, on how he'd like to play for the Knicks. That is just disrespectfull to the organization who drafted you and is paying you millions while you are not playing. Only way i'm interested in Zion would be if the Pels cut him and he is ready to accept salary around 15 mil. per season, while we are not sending anything important for him. Current season showed us that we had a really good offseason. I know that peopple were expecting more, but for the first part of the season are incredibly good. Yes, we had some losses, but our only priority is to be the best at the end of the season. I think some of people are not delighted by Klay's performances, but i think he slowly started catching the rythm. Naji is also impressive, Spencer is inconsistend, but, exactly as i was expecting before the season. As the role of the 6 man he is thriving. Also Grimes, Omax and Hardy showed us that they can play and that they can be impactfull role players in the future. And we are also getting Exum back. The only thing we are missing is that backup power forward or maybe small forward if Naji will play backup 4. Signign Paul Reed and then trading Powell + Kleber (plus 2 round picks) to the sellers team would be ideal. He is 37.8 from 3 right now on the season. His playoffs stats are bad, because he cannot shot so far to save his life. He is a 34 % career 3 pt shooter in the regular season. And a 32.5 % in the playoffs. Last 4 playoffs he is shooting 40 % from the field & low 30 % from 3. Anti Exum is crazy. Exum is a better defender imo. Schröder is trying on defense, but he also has exactly same height as me. Thats tiny for a NBA player. D-Lebron had him as the 2nd worst defender on the Nets. Season D-EPM is solid, at +0.5. He is a decent playmaker and a great driver with a godly first step, but if he cannot shoot in the playoffs, teams will just expose that. Fiba basketball is a different style of a basketball with a shorter 3 pt line, can't even compare to NBA. Fiba Dennis is like 3 tiers above NBA Dennis imo ![]() RE: Trade & FA 2024-25: Lavine Is Immovable | Lakers Want Valanciunas?| Lebron Trade? - Knutsen - 12-15-2024 (12-15-2024, 09:48 AM)sefant Wrote: Question with him how good he can shoot. To make things clear, the „Anti-Exum“ was strictly for rising up and diminishing in the playoffs when the going gets tough. You posted the shooting percentages, but Schröder definitely isn’t scared of big moments - he embraces them like with the national team. Sure he has to show that his improvement from three in percentage and volume is sustainable over the whole season first, but the Warriors got him basically for free, that sucks. RE: Trade & FA 2024-25: Pistons Will Be Active After Waiving Reed - Ghost of Podkolzin - 12-15-2024 I'll say it. I'd much rather PJ than Zion given all the differences in durability, defense, and contract. RE: Trade & FA 2024-25: Pistons Will Be Active After Waiving Reed - Ghost of Podkolzin - 12-15-2024 The only spot that we should consider upgrading with a star is SF/PF RE: Trade & FA 2024-25: Lavine Is Immovable | Lakers Want Valanciunas?| Lebron Trade? - Ghost of Podkolzin - 12-15-2024 (12-14-2024, 05:01 PM)Knutsen Wrote: Other news: Paul Reed got waived by the Pistons. If you investigate and it's just he was a poor fit in PHI and DET, yes, he'd be a great backup PF/C. RE: Trade & FA 2024-25: Pistons Will Be Active After Waiving Reed - SleepingHero - 12-15-2024 I think the best Maxi replacement might be on the Grizzlies. I really like Santi Aldama. 6’11 that is highly mobile. He’s not nearly the perimeter defender Maxi is, but he isn’t bad at all. He can protect the rim, again not at the level of maxi, but not many can. He is a much much better scorer though. He is one the few guys in the league that has the size and mobility we’re looking for at that position. That lineup is a spacing nightmare. He is a way bigger injury risk and worse fit that KP was. This is a contending team with limited assets. I can't imagine it would make sense to make a huge gamble like this, especially when the last time we made a similar gamble (an injury riddled potential headcase in a shitshow org) it failed utterly. RE: Trade & FA 2024-25: Pistons Will Be Active After Waiving Reed - SleepingHero - 12-16-2024 @TheDunkCentral The Orlando Magic are the favorites to land Anfernee Simons in a potential trade, per @BovadaOfficial Orlando Magic +400 Miami Heat +500 San Antonio Spurs +600 Denver Nuggets +900 Golden State Warriors +1200 Sacramento Kings +1600 RE: Trade & FA 2024-25: Pistons Will Be Active After Waiving Reed - SleepingHero - 12-16-2024 @TheDunkCentral The New Orleans Pelicans are open to trading anyone on their roster except Herb Jones, Yves Missi, and Trey Murphy III, per @TheSteinLine & @JakeLFischer “While naturally resistant to trade inquiries for their younger gems — Herb Jones, rookie Yves Missi and Trey Murphy III — word is that the Pelicans are essentially open to trade pitches for pretty much anyone else on the roster apart from those three amid a 5-21 start and more injury woe than even Philadelphia.” RE: Trade & FA 2024-25: Stein- Everyone on NOP but Herb, Missi, & Murphy is Available - SleepingHero - 12-16-2024 @esidery The Trail Blazers have lowered their asking price on Jerami Grant. Portland would be willing to part with Grant for one first-round pick and a promising prospect instead of two future first-round selections. Grant is under contract through 2027-28 making $30+ million annually. |
