RE: Trade & FA 2024-25: Heat Open To Move Butler| Kuzma Valued Around League - SleepingHero - 12-10-2024 (@esidery) As the Jazz weigh potential trade offers for Collin Sexton, John Collins and Jordan Clarkson, they are valuing prospects in return over more future draft picks. Utah already owns a ton of draft capital, but are intrigued by the idea of adding more high-upside young players. RE: Trade & FA 2024-25: Heat Open To Move Butler| Kuzma Valued Around League - SleepingHero - 12-10-2024 (@esidery) There remains no interest in any team trading for Zach LaVine amidst a career-best efficiency season, per @WindhorstESPN (https://t.co/TLI2zabOSS). LaVine’s large contract appears to yet again be a massive hurdle the Bulls won’t be able to overcome in any potential trade talks. RE: Trade & FA 2024-25: Heat Open To Move Butler| Kuzma Valued Around League - SleepingHero - 12-10-2024 (@TheDunkCentral) Rob Pelinka is expected to check on Jonas Valančiūnas in five days, per @AnthonyIrwinLA “League sources believe Pelinka will check in on the price for Jonas Valanciunas on December 15 when he becomes trade eligible and belief around the league is that the Washington Wizards RE: Trade & FA 2024-25: Heat Open To Move Butler| Kuzma Valued Around League - SleepingHero - 12-10-2024 @TheDunkCentral Bronny James would likely be included in any deal involving LeBron James, per @AnthonyIrwinLA “Sources close to the Lakers did say that, if James asked the Lakers to trade him, they would work with him to find a deal that lands him where he'd rather be, but also brings back the kind of return that would jumpstart a rebuild. If James was traded, it's also believed Bronny James would have to be part of the deal.” RE: Trade & FA 2024-25: Heat Open To Move Butler| Kuzma Valued Around League - SleepingHero - 12-10-2024 (@TheDunkCentral) The Brooklyn Nets are open to trading Cam Johnson, Dorian Finney-Smith and Dennis Schroder, per @ShamsCharania The Golden State Warriors are interested in all three players “The Nets have received trade interest and opened exploratory conversations around forwards Cam Johnson RE: Trade & FA 2024-25: Heat Open To Move Butler| Kuzma Valued Around League - SleepingHero - 12-10-2024 @shamscharania The Heat are open to listening to offers for Butler and making a deal if the proposal is right. Butler's agent has indicated in league circles that Butler is open to destinations such as two of the Texas teams (Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks) and the Golden State Warriors. I don't think the Mavs will trade him, but I bet teams are poking around. RE: Trade & FA 2024-25: Lavine Is Immovable | Lakers Want Valanciunas?| Lebron Trade? - Razzmatazz_Hopskidillydoo - 12-10-2024 The Nets have 6 players who can play power forward. Two of them are just tall SFs, one legit PF and the rest are undersized PFs. .. and 2 of them works with a straight up trade with Hardy. Zaire is my guy, but there are no matching salaries to work with. Wilson and Watford aren't PJ-undersized PF types but more of a Naji type of forward. Both aren't anything special and are looking like backups for life. Hardy might turn to something special, but I guess a few more rebounds a game matter. Even better if you somehow avoid giving up O-Max, but to my mind, adding Jones would more than makeup for the drop-off from Gafford back to the Powell/Kleber combo behind Lively. I know some will disagree, but I think the Mavs come out ahead in that exchange. Herb Jones is a difference making defender. I would say Gafford, OMax and 2 FRPs is a pretty steep price to pay and would be fair value, I think the only way it wouldn't be enough would be if a bidding war starts which very well could happen for a player like Jones. You could use Maxi or PJs contract instead of Gafford (although I think if you did PJ you'd have to remove OMax or add incoming salary) but knowing the Pels are looking for a center I would assume Gafford is their target based on the betting odds. I'm with you though, I think Powell/Maxi playing minutes behind Lively would be fine, especially during the regular season. The other thing to consider when it comes to the minutes behind Lively in a hypothetical like this is that come playoff time you may end up just going small and playing Jones at center the way the Pelicans basically are right now so just noting there's a third option to Powell and Maxi. Hard to say no. But Klay moving to 6th man and the team chemistry staying good like it is. Lot of risk. I probably lean to no trade, even with as good as Herb Jones is. Ya for sure, I like that package a lot more, was simply guessing Gafford because I assumed that's what the Pels would be after. My big concern would also be Klay accepting a different role on the team but I'd probably lean yes only because I assume we're going to balk at a Gafford extension this offseason and having Jones under control for 2 seasons after this at 13 mil seems pretty enticing. Although today I was thinking that maybe they just go into the second apron by extending everyone this offseason (Luka/PJ/Gafford and Kyrie's new deal) knowing that they can always move Gafford in a one contract trade to either rework the roster or reduce salary. Right now the issue with a team like Phoenix is they're in the second apron with no real tradeable contracts that could bring something back on it's own. No one wants Nurkic and I don't think Allen on a 4 year deal is getting you anything and everyone else is either part of their big three or on deals too small to do anything with. If the Mavs went into the second apron with this roster, they would have a lot of players with value on deals that could be used to make a move with picks attached. Of all the rumors. Herb is the only one that interests me. Butler talk and some others is a waste of time. Herb Jones is a player every team wants. I would be excited for the trade but I can see a lot of ways it might not end up like we picture in our head is all. Agreed, I'd take Jones over Butler even if the salaries were the same to be honest. Also would be fine running with this roster as is as well but Jones is one of the few guys I'd think hard about if there was an opportunity. RE: Trade & FA 2024-25: Lavine Is Immovable | Lakers Want Valanciunas?| Lebron Trade? - Chicagojk - 12-11-2024 I just don't see Herb as a fit for Dallas. First, because of the role he plays, he is going to be really expensive. Probably too expensive for the assets we have. I just don't think we have the assets for him. Certainly Gafford wouldn't be the main piece. Getting a starting quality center and moving a defending wing seems like a step back. Too bad for Pelicans fans that the team has gotten off to such a terrible start. if not, they could have used some of their assets for a guy like Robert Williams or Walker Kessler. Now, they probably need to think bigger. Find a landing place for Ingram. Move McCollum. Probably give Zion another year, but clearly start looking at probably likely options if that fails again. I would gladly take Jones, I just don't think it is really possible with our assets. I do wonder if these rumors out there, if DFS could be an option. Nets probably would want more than we would offer. We probably don't have a large enough role either. I personally like the team as is. Whether we get as far or farther than last year is TBD. I think we have a deep and talented team and would like to see how they fit this year. I am not seeing a trade this year. Good defense reputation, iffy on the 3s. But there are caution flags with him, with this coming out yesterday: When the Pelicans and Brandon Ingram discussed an extension during the offseason, he and his representatives at Excel Sports Management were seeking $50MM per season, reports Shams Charania of ESPN Not that he's necessarily available or would be at a decent price, but available at about the same price as Herb (or less) I think I'd much prefer DJJ. Just saying.
