They are 6´3 and 6´6 instead of 5´9 and 6´2 they get drafted in the 1st round. But for SL they should be a good combo and smart on their parts. They could draw some interest from Europe. Curious to see if Ajinca has improved. RE: NBA Summer League July 10th-20th: - Winter - 07-05-2025 I'm not sure they would send BWill back to Summer League now. I doubt he needs it. I actually take that as a good sign. RE: NBA Summer League July 10th-20th: - KillerLeft - 07-05-2025 (07-05-2025, 02:26 PM)Winter Wrote: I'm not sure they would send BWill back to Summer League now. I doubt he needs it. That’s a good point. I also think they want to see what Nembhard has to give. I personally am excited there is no Hardy/B-Will inclusion. RE: NBA Summer League July 10th-20th: - Smitty - 07-08-2025 @noahweber00 I asked Cooper Flagg about Jason Kidd’s emphasis on him playing some point guard: “Yeah I’m looking forward to it. Coach Scheyer trusted me a lot last year, and I handled it a lot…Set up a lot of different actions, I think it’s something I can do at a high level, so I’m excited to just experiment and do some new things.” @noahweber00 Dallas Mavericks Summer League head coach Josh Broghamer said that they made Cooper Flagg take a break on the Fourth of July because he has been so eager to work and be in the gym. Broghamer said he is always among the first to the gym. @noahweber00 Mavs forward Cooper Flagg on Jason Kidd being confident in him to try next things within the game: “It gives me a lot of confidence, obviously, having that kind of messaging, confidence from him. Just knowing that he’s gonna trust me to try some new things…” Kidd has let him know that he is going to go through some failure, but he isn’t worried about the mistakes he makes. Flagg mentioned getting “out of his shell.” RE: NBA Summer League July 10th-20th: - Smitty - 07-08-2025 @noahweber00 Dallas Mavericks Summer League head coach Josh Broghamer said Ryan Nembhard has been “incredible.” He said that Nembhard played some five on five with some veterans recently, and he was making all of the right reads. Also said he was tougher than his brother Andrew from the Indiana Pacers. @noahweber00 Cooper Flagg called Ryan Nembhard an “incredible passer” and said he “can really score it as well.” He is excited to play with him. “They’re already playing really well off each other in the 2 man game.” Coach Broghammer on Coop and Ryan Nembhard’s chemistry RE: NBA Summer League July 10th-20th: - Smitty - 07-08-2025 @MavsFilmRoom “He came back bigger and stronger” Coach Broghammer on Melvin Ajinça, the Mavericks 2nd round pick from last year RE: NBA Summer League July 10th-20th: - Smitty - 07-08-2025 @noahweber00 Mavericks Summer League coach Josh Broghamer said that Miles Kelly can “shoot the rock.” From the time that practice was open to the media, Kelly’s 3-point shooting definitely stood out. He was working with Max Hooper. RE: NBA Summer League July 10th-20th: - Smitty - 07-08-2025 @noahweber00 I asked Mavericks Summer League coach Josh Broghamer about how Ryan Nembhard and Cooper Flagg playing with Moussa Cisse and Jamarion Sharp can help them prepare to play with Daniel Gafford and Dereck Lively II: “Cooper threw a lob today that almost touched the top of the backboard and Moussa dunked it and he was like ‘oh this is gonna be kind of fun’…” Said Flagg is always trying to “make the right play,” while also noting that Flagg said he needs to work on throwing alley-oops. Said with Cisse, Sharp, and “the guys this fall” he is going to have the chance to throw some lobs. RE: NBA Summer League July 10th-20th: - Smitty - 07-08-2025 @noahweber00 Mavericks Summer League coach Josh Broghamer listed a few standouts so far and included Max Lewis, noting that his energy and shooting have been solid. Said they will look to play him “a lot” at Summer League. Also complimented Matthew Cleveland and Moussa Cisse. Noted that Cisse has done a great job with his “activity and size.” RE: NBA Summer League July 10th-20th: - SleepingHero - 07-08-2025 Holy crap Smitty!! Thank you so much for the updates. I thought he played mature for being a young player, but nothing really stuck out. Is he really 6'8? He looked smaller. If he is 6'8, he may be an interesting developmental piece if he is a good shooter. He wasnt a good shooter last summer.
