Today feels like this is a man who is on borrowed time.
Media are going to enjoy bashing him, because he is now the most famous NBA GM, while being the most mocked.

The owner doesn't have his back from all what it seems, the fans hates him, and the players will see all of that and probably won't respect him enough.

How many times being in such situation turned out well?

I've never seen a Championship caliber team who doesn't even make PO with just 1 injuried player but i can understand that Harrison has to say those things to cover his collusion with Pelinka.
But it's useless. You are not our GM. Go away.

and that "we already have a championship caliber team."

Well that is not good.  A gm better think about a worst case scenario for every move.  May have kept out of this train wreck.

I will say he finally felt prepared answering questions.  So that is a plus.  But sort of like being proud for a 5 year old who comes home from kindergarten without popping their pants.   Sort of a low bar.

Certainly feels like he thinks the team is a contender as is when heathy. I have no idea how you could think that. So I wouldn’t expect a big move this summer. Obviously not a blow up if Nico remains.

I bet he doesn't think that but he had to say it.
It works, all the world think that he is stupid so his collusion is safe. Well done.

A contender has a bit of wide range of definition.

You reach conference finals and you can call yourself a contender. After all you were one of the last 4 teams standing.

But it could be like 2019 Portland who beats poor OKC, young Denver and boom, you are in the WCF. But no one took them seriously as a contender.

A full healthy Mavs can be that team if we are being fair. They can a team that could get a couple of favourable series.

It us what we as a fans prefer to call "pretender".

The thing is, we were a true contender. Undeniably the 2nd best team last year, and improved our roster. We traded that for a chance to be pretender.

I think he'd be fired already if it were going to happen. He'll get to run this ground ball out and potentially do more damage along the way.

Chuck with words of wisdom for our fearless leader.
