I agree.  Tough watch.  Ok In a support role, but when he is the main ball handler it is rough.  Everyone watching him dribble the ball

Well, I agree it’s not ideal for him to be the main offensive engine, but we have to remember that he’s facing the best defenders tonight. Kamara is pressuring him almost full court. Billups has decided slowing him down is the way to beat the Mavericks tonight.

Kleber against Clingan again.

Clingan staying in the paint anyway, because everyone knows Kleber doesn’t want the ball and won’t shoot if he gets it.

Lively back in now.

Mavs need to ride Lively. Gafford getting back into flow and rusty. Maxi too small against all these driving guards

The second half of this quarter has not been kind.

RE: Game 38: Portland Trailblazers (13-23) vs. Dallas Mavericks (21-16) | 6:30pm CST - KillerLeft - 01-09-2025

O-Max had a good stretch in the first half. Hopefully he can pick up where he left off.

Big plays on both ends to end the quarter for Grimes. Not feeling good about this one, but the Mavericks have a chance.

Solid minutes from Omax. Still looks really hesitant on offense but has made a few hustle plays.

Spectacular defense from Lively on Simons

His offense is nowhere close to ready, but I am a believer in where he is right this second on defense.

This is the exact type of energy Omax needs to provide. The offense will come. But if he can provide energy he will get more minutes and the res t of his game can grow.

Ugh. Klay doesn’t secure a rebound and then a Jaden turnover and it is back to 9

Thank you for taking out Klingan Portland.

Portland has been great out of timeouts. Probably the difference in the game

RE: Game 38: Portland Trailblazers (13-23) vs. Dallas Mavericks (21-16) | 6:30pm CST - KillerLeft - 01-09-2025

Huge plays by Dinwiddie. Tipping that rebound away from Portland big and then penetrating to create a classic 3JW look from the corner.

Greta defense by Lively here. Portland went small and made some threes but I think when Clingan went out no one was protecting the rim. Btw I like Clingan. Don’t know what he is yet, but he impacts a ton of shots.

Looks like a clean block by Washington to me.

I like him too, but I suspect a better offensive coach would make them pay for playing him. Mavs kept mindlessly attacking the paint instead of making him cover ground.
