RE: Game 4: Dallas Mavericks (2-1) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (2-1) - Jym - 10-29-2024 so I guess the first game the guys were free-wheeling it and since then they've put in the official pick-n-roll, iso offense RE: Game 4: Dallas Mavericks (2-1) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (2-1) - Chicagojk - 10-29-2024 It just sucks we need to be patient as Luka gets his explosion back. The injury surely didn't help, but he has no explosion. Frustrating that we seem to be here again. RE: Game 4: Dallas Mavericks (2-1) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (2-1) - Mavs2021 - 10-29-2024 PJ is literally defending Edwards and Randle. RE: Game 4: Dallas Mavericks (2-1) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (2-1) - KillerLeft - 10-29-2024 Good to see Luka trying to get into the paint and draw fouls, at least. That is a very good start. RE: Game 4: Dallas Mavericks (2-1) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (2-1) - KillerLeft - 10-29-2024 PJ Washington is such an underrated part of what makes this team successful. RE: Game 4: Dallas Mavericks (2-1) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (2-1) - KillerLeft - 10-29-2024 LOVE going to Thompson when Edwards is hidden on him. Tire that cocky mofo out! RE: Game 4: Dallas Mavericks (2-1) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (2-1) - Mavs2021 - 10-29-2024 Lively has done a great job on Randle, which could be a crucial match-up, cause it would free up PJ to take turns on Edwards.. RE: Game 4: Dallas Mavericks (2-1) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (2-1) - KillerLeft - 10-29-2024 PJ from the wing!!!! RE: Game 4: Dallas Mavericks (2-1) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (2-1) - KillerLeft - 10-29-2024 Welp, that’s a scary sight. RE: Game 4: Dallas Mavericks (2-1) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (2-1) - Mavs2021 - 10-29-2024 You know what they call this Luka in Australia: Joe Ingles. EDIT: That´s two weeks off with the calf. PJ Washington and Lively have been the stars of the Mavs first four games. RE: Game 4: Dallas Mavericks (2-1) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (2-1) - KillerLeft - 10-29-2024 I heart PJ so much. RE: Game 4: Dallas Mavericks (2-1) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (2-1) - Chicagojk - 10-29-2024 well that is not good. RE: Game 4: Dallas Mavericks (2-1) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (2-1) - KillerLeft - 10-29-2024 Can’t believe they have a lead at halftime, the way they played. I hope Luka is OK. RE: Game 4: Dallas Mavericks (2-1) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (2-1) - ThisIStheYear - 10-29-2024 Looked like a long term injury. The refs just suck. Dirty play. Not even a foul called. RE: Game 4: Dallas Mavericks (2-1) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (2-1) - Chicagojk - 10-29-2024 Not great defense by either team....although Minny was really hot. It just doesn't feel like this is the same Minny defense from last year. We will see though. Entertaining half. RE: Game 4: Dallas Mavericks (2-1) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (2-1) - Mavs2021 - 10-29-2024 Although he couldn´t put weight on the knee, it looked like he grabbed his calf again. I wouldn´t assume the worst (ACL or something), although it really starts to get annoying with that calf injury. He clearly is not fit. Just shut him down till he´s finally 100% healthy. The calf is clearly an issue. I am just disappointed that he is not in better shape. I mean the injury certainly limited conditioning, but I have thinking watching him labor that there is no way he can withstand this for long. We see when he isn't playing he can balloon up pretty quick. He is just so good though that it doesn't matter of the time. Obviously, if he is injured we drop back to a good, solid team. Not a potential great one. RE: Game 4: Dallas Mavericks (2-1) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (2-1) - KillerLeft - 10-29-2024 I hate to be that guy, but it sure feels like Luka’s conditioning is going to cause more and more problems as he gets older. Out of shape causes injuries, injuries prevent good conditioning. It’s a slippery slope. I know he’s a better, more complete player than Edwards, for example, but sometimes I wish the Mavs were built around an athletic specimen like that. RE: Game 4: Dallas Mavericks (2-1) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (2-1) - MarkAguirreWrathofGod - 10-29-2024 I’m going to guess a PCL strain. Hopefully not a full tear or he’ll be out for a lot of the season. I will counter this negative vibe with “I’m going to guess he rubs some dirt on it at halftime, comes out and puts up 40 in the second half.” I’m sure you are correct, but I want to be on the right side of history. |
