I think Simons is an interesting name. To get him though, it is going to be expensive. Not sure many teams are going to offer unprotected 25 and 26 first round draft picks though (supposedly really strong drafts).
Even with Simons limitations on defense, I think he is a great shooter and would play well off a legit star. Again, not sure of the market because his asking price will be aggressive.

He would probably cost both firsts and it doesn't make sense for a lot of reasons to send any of those guys out. I know some folks think getting somebody like Simons would make sense from the standpoint that he is young and could eventually take over Kyrie spot, but my preference for an eventual Kyrie replacement would be a 2 way wing as opposed to another offense first guard.

Yeah, I don't think the Mavs would be a team interested. Just trying to see where a pretty good player could wind up.
The bad teams just can't give up an unprotected pick in the next two drafts. They just can't. It is fair for Portland to want a good pick or two imo.
I am not sure where the pretty good teams would fit. Orlando feels like a real good option. I don't think they are still with their moves and all their bodies. Miami? Seems like a lateral move with Herro. I would like the fit in Toronto, but they can't give up a unprotected first and paid a lot of people recently.
I think my favorite is the spurs. He would fit in really well there. Just not sure I would give up one of their best pick assets if I was the Spurs.

We are awash with guards on this team. Luka, Kyrie, Klay, Din, Hardy, Grimes, Exum, and AJ. Sure you can play Klay, Exum, and Grimes as SG/SF, but our next big piece to acquire needs to be out of the mold of an OMax upgrade. We need to eventually replace Klay with a SF/PF. DJJ proved that with Luka, Kyrie, PJ, and our bigs are best balanced with that profile of player.

SAS makes a lot of sense. HOU is SG poor also, and need his scoring.

They can even add Jett Howard instead of Harris (but are 400k off from a legal trade).

The Magic is a good pick. Anfernee Simons is also from Florida and went to school in Orlando.

Don't know if the Magic will want RW3 though, another highly injury-prone player. Probably just stick with Cole Anthony, WCJ and picks/swaps.
Then re-sign Okeke at the minimum, and move Isaac to full-time Center. I think Isaac could remain healthy if he's not asked to defend the perimeter so much.

He went from trade fodder to an extension. I heard he was in the doghouse because he refused to take injections for his bruised ribs and sat out the playoffs. I still think him and Mobley on that frontline is an ill fit. But they are a top 10 defense when both are healthy.

I find it hard to believe PHX didn't offer Hayward anything. I'm sure OKC would've had him back on a minimum.
Given that there was no concrete rumors on Hayward you're probably right that he wasn't offered anything and he made the choice to retire.
