RE: 2021 NBA DRAFT: July 29, 7 pm - wmffl87 - 07-29-2021 Easiest no brainer ever. Even if the Pistons already had an all-star PG, I'd draft Cade. The pictures will help quite a bit RE: 2021 NBA DRAFT: July 29, 7 pm - Chicagojk - 07-29-2021 I posted my big man likes earlier. My favorite wing second round candidate is Jeremiah Robinson Earl from Villanova. I had assumed he was a pretty solid first round pick and he may wind up being so. But ESPN has him around 50th and The Ringer has him around 40. He is more of a four than a three and I understand the negatives. He is not super athletic and has not really demonstrated to be a reliable three point shooter yet. But he is an excellent rebounder, good defender, Really fundamentally sound and just a solid. He would be the one guy who if he slipped into the 40's who I would try to be agressive to go get. Not sure we have the assets to get into the 40's though (or at least assets I would want to give up). Earl was also a former teammate of Josh Green. As far as some late round second round picks and undrafted wings, here is my list: Isaiah Livers Juhann Begarin- Not sure of his playing competition but he pops off the video with his athleticism. Would be my top rated draft and stash. But because of that he probably goes earlier than we can get to. Raiquan Gray- One of my favorites. If he takes conditioning seriously there is something there. Amir Sims- DFS part 2? Vrenz Bleijenbergh- I assume he goes earlier because he worked out for most teams. If not, it is probably not a great sign. Draft and stash candidate. As far as summer league invites: Ej Onu DJ Steward- Maybe a little of Tyrese Maxey? Just watched a few minutes and he looks interesting. Did not have a great freshman year at Duke Feron Hunt- Just incredible highlights. RE: 2021 NBA DRAFT: July 29, 7 pm - wmffl87 - 07-29-2021 so Cunningham Green Mobley Suggs Barnes in that order? You don't play chess by announcing your future moves. I'm always amazed that folks get upset over pre-draft, pre-free agency quotes from teams RE: 2021 NBA DRAFT: July 29, 7 pm - omahen - 07-29-2021 What I would like to know is, why he has time to talk to media people? They should just abandon these press conferences prior to the draft/trade deadline/etc. RE: 2021 NBA DRAFT: July 29, 7 pm - wmffl87 - 07-29-2021 Good to hear. I can bounce after the first 5-6 picks and go have a nice dinner instead of obsessing over the Mavs screwing up another draft. It’s a traditional thing, they do it every year. Gotta feed Sefko/Townsend some quotes for their anti young players-propaganda articles. JK. He’s in a rough spot. No picks, few assets, none of last years‘ draftees were properly developed. Heck Rick even got JRich to the point where he’s seriously considering to opt in. Rick, Donnie and Mark really did a masterful job of giving Nico a shitty base to work with. They had 3 rookies drafted last year, including two early 2nd rounders, plus Hinton. They will probably sit out the draft for the next few years |
