The Ayton to Dallas fans are crying tears of joy seeing him force that jump ball and then winning it against Jokic

Joker's 53 pts not enough. The much maligned Phoenix bench finally showed up.

Weird how I had the exact opposite thoughts watching this game. Dude is a bum.

Wow...this play epitomizes Ayton and Jokic.  Jokic competitive drive gets him off the floor before Ayton can even react.  Ayton quickly realizes that he is beat and in order not to look terrible he lazily holds Jokic down to spring himself up to prevent getting beat to the ball.

Since when were fans allowed to pry the ball away from players? Since when were they allowed to put their hands and/or get in the face of said players?
Jokic got an undeserved tech. Players have thrown out fans for much less than what the Suns owner just dd.

Agree. "The fan" jumped into him and he has the right to defend himself. That "the fan" is the Suns owner makes no difference.

All you have to ask yourself is if it was a Den player on the ground and a Suns player was coming for the ball, would the Suns player have to try to rip the ball out of the hands of the Suns fan? Fans should never interfere with the game like that. On top of that, after Jokic tried to get the ball the “fan” (owner) tried to get in his face. Jokic used his elbow to keep him at bay while continuing to get the ball, then shoved the fan down when he had had enough. In game tech for what happened was wrong, let alone more punishment from the league.

That was an enjoyable game last night. You are suppose to hate Booker as a Mavs fan, and I get it. But he has been playing spectacular. Him and Durant are just a nightmare. In a lot of ways, seeing them play is suppose to be how Luka and Kyrie should affect a game. Two guys who can get a good shot on every position and their gravity allows wide open looks for everyone else. We saw it for a few brief moments but for different reasons it never really hit this year.

Jokic is so good. Just a joy to watch. More mavs related, I hope the Mavs don't treat their first round picks they can trade like Halloween candy. They could be very valuable picks in the future. A guy like Aaron Gordon is a baseline of the type of caliber of player. Is that player available this offseason? If not, lets be patient. I would hate to give up that pick for a 7th man on a contender.

These playoffs have been great. Outside of the occasional blowout, they've been highly competitive between for the most part, evenly matched teams.

Lakers can go ahead and plan the parade. They should finish off the Warriors in 5 and get plenty of rest while the Nuggets/Suns might go 7. And none of the Eastern Conference teams stand a chance against them either

I wouldn't say all that. Don't see how you can even make that statement. The team that very well could come out the East is 8th seeded Miami. They've been on a mission.

Super interesting to watch the coaching adjustments in the GS-Lakers series. After game one Kerr benches Looney. Improves spacing with another shooter on the floor and negates the impact of LA´s rim protection. Ham is forced to adjust and matches the Warriors perimeter orientated style. Takes out his own non shooter Vanderbilt. Goes even smaller than the Warriors with Schroder and Walker IV getting most of his minutes.

Looking at the Mavs options to match moves like this. Kidd refused or wasn´t able to draw up a new inbound play after it failed again and again. Zero confidence in his ability to make the necessary in game adjustments.

Bet GS is having second thoughts on that extension. Poole has been horrible this year.

Another guy, like Ayton, who can show you significant flashes and then disappear for awhile.

In both cases, we'd say they are serviceable players but paid max money.  Their teams were caught over a barrel and forced to overpay rather than let them walk. Now, roster construction is difficult.

...and with the new CBA, it will be even more difficult.

Sometimes it's better to let a serviceable player walk rather than pay max money.  Very few teams have the discipline to do that, but I'm betting we'll see more of it in the next couple of years.

The Mavs have that particular discipline. . . . .

It’s selective discipline.
