Refs ignore the intentional foul. Mavs lose another possession. Calls in in the last 5-6 minutes of the game have been brutal.

Luka checked out mentally in this game. It’s the lowest moment in his career. You can legitimately question whether he’s a winner after tonight. But Kidd? WTF man? He plays the entire roster in the 1st half like it’s game 1 or an early season game. Calls the dumbest time out I’ve ever seen to stop his own team’s run. Overplayed THJ. Just an idiot. Embarrassing game.

Luka didn't show up for the first time in his career in an important game. Those last two calls on him are still some of the most egregious bullshit
Couple that with the PJ foul.
Kidd made a terrible choice with that timeout call. But the refs really cemented the end of the run with 3 back to back to back foul calls on the Mavs most integral pieces.

Luka started off great. Not sure what happened. He settled for some step back 3s. Maybe was foul hunting with Tillman and Pritchard on him instead of making the shot.

All time great defender and transition playmaker as a player. Never won as the number one guy because of his short comings as a half court scorer/creator. And now that he is coaching his teams have the same strengths/weaknesses.
He can get it done. Just needs a little more creativity around him.

Mavs did all the small winning stuff for most of the second part of the season and the playoffs. Celtics just doing it better in this series.
Some good moments for the Mavs the last two games but they just have had lapses that are killer against an elite team.

Most of the guys will be back next year..and they should be.
Lively finally had a strong game and PJ was key in that run. Gafford didn’t play much but has been ok in this series. Just a tough matchup for him.
But the roster build is not done. Some guys may just be here for a short time. Nmnotnsying they can’t learn from this but they have not been good this series. They did have good runs leading up to this.

Luka's incessant complaining makes it easy for the refs to make calls against him. its a vicious cycle. more complaining leads to fewer calls, and so on. but it does not take away from the fact that refs have been terrible in this game.

Luka came up like James Harden. This game will change the narrative on his career. He spent most of his time during the Celtics big 2nd quarter run complaining and not getting back on defense. Played a terrible quarters 2-4. Quite on his team with stupid, frustration fouls down the stretch. That was just the worst. And the biggest game of his career. In this instance the criticism he gets will be justified.
Kidd was even worse. I’ve never seen a more idiotically coached game on the finals. If he doesn’t understand who is best 8 are by now for this series, it’s hopeless. He needs to be a culture building figurehead.
