  The road to 50: Can Mavs go 7-3 the rest of the way?
Posted by: Branduil - 02-10-2024, 10:27 PM - Forum: Dallas Mavericks and the NBA - Replies (19)

The Mavs made two trades to solidify their rotation, and they're getting healthy-er. After a nightmare stretch they have one of the easiest schedules remaining. I think 50 wins is a very reasonable goal with those things in mind, and would show solid progress for this team. Can they do it?

  Game 52 Dirkie Thread: A competitive race, but Luka won pulling away...
Posted by: ballsrchr - 02-08-2024, 10:04 PM - Forum: Dallas Mavericks and the NBA - Replies (13)

This game shouldn't have been in question at all. But the Knicks played hard. The Mavs played ok, but didn't seem like they could put the Knicks away. In my sports endeavors I learned it was best to tromp on my opponent any time I got the chance. That way, the next time we met, it would be in the back of their minds that I could easily beat them. Psycho warfare. All's fair in international tiddlywinks...

I wish there was somebody beside Luka who excelled, or played above expectations. This was a fairly pedestrian game. One question: How can the refs miss all the hits in the face every single game?

Ah...I'm giving my Dirkie to Luka. He played another 40 minute game...and we needed it. Maybe Luka should be playing for Thibs. Or maybe Kidd is Thibs in disguise. Naw...Thibs actually has a game plan, rather than just "...give the ball to Luka..."

  Kyle Lowry or Spencer Dinwiddie?
Posted by: SleepingHero - 02-08-2024, 03:46 PM - Forum: Dallas Mavericks and the NBA - Replies (23)

If both of their agents come a knocking, who do you choose? Mavs have nearly 5.5 mil they can offer to either one.

Spencer obviously has played some amazing basketball and knows the system. Lowry is a winner and is ideally a better defender than Dinwiddie.

Spencer is averaging 12/3/6 on 39/32/78!!!

Lowry wasn't much better:: 8/3.5/4 on 42/38/83

Who would you rather have?

....Or do we waive Morris and split the 5.5 mil and sign both?  Big Grin
