Who was the player of the game who elevated his game to help the team win?
This is a tough one. I feel like Brunson carried them for a big stretch of the game. Then DFS hit some huge clutch 3s late. And then JRich closed it out with some huge clutch FTs of his own.

DFS gets it by a small margin, but all three are highly deserving.
I went with JB.  DFS did hit some clutch three point shots.
Luka loses my vote when he has gaudy numbers paired with half a dozen TOs. So when he boasts a triple double paired with just one error, Ima gonna say, Luka!

Most embarrassing win we had to have ever.
The clutch free throws were the most impressive feat in the game. It’s hard to believe that game was so close.
I have watched far superior teams lose games like this in the NBA since 1981. It happens every single year. It means nothing long term though teams get badly hurt by bad losses often. These teams create hope for certain players and their teams. The very young 80’s Mavs did this and for a few more years when November came, nothing good came of it.

Don’t get down on the Mavericks about this. These games also mean absolutely nothing for the playoff......unless you lose...like the Clippers. C
I would give the Dirkie to the whole team for climbing back from 9-14 to clinching a playoff berth with this game

Did you look at his shooting splits? That's a Russ triple double. Not gonna vote for that.

I think it's a three way tie between DFS,  Brunson, and KP. I voted for KP since you can't split your vote.
I give it to DFS.   Luka had the triple double but I thought his energy and defense was poor again.  Some great passes to open shooters early though.   Brunson probably had the best stats but most of his scoring came when the game looked little in doubt.   If DFS misses those three pointers in the fourth, there is a good chance the Mavs lose that game.   So I give it to him.

Making four free throws to put the game away for Richardson also deserves some kudos.  But I think DFS had the bigger impact.
Honestly it should be shared between three guys who obviously stepped up, Brunson, DFS, and KP.

Brunson for his spectacular overall play and at times keeping the whole team afloat. Unfortunately he got injured and robbed us of his continued greatness as I think he largely disappeared after coming back from the lockerroom.

DFS hit timely three after timely three and just all around was solid.

KP once again shone on offense and was a reliable scorer for most of the night. He had some good defensive possessions, one being a great contest on a Birch hook shot in the first causing the miss. He also had some not so good defensive possessions, one where he fell asleep and let Birch hit a 3 in his face.

Still I don't think the Mavs come close to winning without any of these 3 guys and all 3 deserve the dirkie. I went with KP for once again showing up with solid offense that the team sorely needed with THJ and Luka being off.
Well...on a trip to Arkansas/MO for a week.  Forgot every password that I ever knew (No!  I'm not getting senile--I don't think.  Hell...how would I know?).  By the time I remembered the passwords I was locked out of everything.  Anyway...for those needing to watch the Mavs online...I used Sportsurge.  Worked great.  I had to give the Dirkie to DFS.  I know I'm late, but what the hell.  Now I'm back home--where I can log into (almost) everything.

I live in Arkansas and travel all over the southeast on business, never any Mavs games available except when nationally televised. I use sportsurge all the time!

Yep.  I have a list of 8 or 9 sites to watch the Mavs...but Sportsurge has been the best.  I actually have NBA TV (from India with a vpn) and that is better.  BUT...forgetting all my passwords and using a...not new...but different laptop I had no choice.  Some people say they feel...dirty?...by using these shady sites, but I feel great!  I get to watch the Mavs, and much other stuff for free or very little cost.

I was up at Bull Shoals Lake in Arkansas, but stayed in a motel in Missouri.  Go figure...
