Hey, we're learning one thing that's good to hear. Nico's phone charging 24/7 hopefully means that Mark's isn't being used much.

Possibly to the first sentence...hopefully no to the second!

That’s a loosing mentality, I hope Nico knows better than that. Unfortunately that’s been the modus operandi for s a long time hence the poor last decade. By that logic no team ever goes for a young player they believe in. Spurs traded G. Hill for a college kid named Kawhi once. Worked out pretty well for them.

Yep, when I was thinking of UDFA types or moving into the late second round, it was always for G-League guys. With Green, Terry, hopefully Hinton, and we will see about Tyler Bey, the Mavs have a lot of developmental guys. In fact, for a team that wants to win, it is probably too many. I am glad they are making the investment though.
I really hope Hinton makes the team roster. I think they may have something with him down the road. I am really anxious to see how he looks in summer league. I consider Terry our first round pick. Some of the more reasoned draft guys last year said he was more of a future pick and was going to need a redshirt year. He may need another after this rough year, but I hope we play the long game with him. There is stuff to like from his college film.
As far as the G-league guys, I hope they find at least one very interesting guy. We will see. I will be watching if they buy a pick or go after an UDFA type.

And they nailed it on all the future rotation studs...

That is in case they are keeping all 4, which I find hard to believe tbh

Powell has less money left on his deal and we think we can't move him without a first rounder. I don't understand Charlotte here. There must be more moving parts.

If you have 20 mil of cap space and basically only need a center, would you waste half of that on Plumlee? I just don't get it.
No way I'm drafting Jalen Green top 3 just based off his outfit.

Plumlee is solid but a backup rotation big. He probably brings something different than Powell. I am just going off memory, maybe his defense is awful. But he is bigger and has a little more bulk.
Maybe they draft Garuba and both him and Plumlee get the center minutes. That is a lot of investment in the center position though.

Plumlee is better at basketball than Powell.
It gives the Hornets a solid center, who averaged 10/9/4 last season, a 37th pick, and also a salary they can aggregate in a larger deal.
This is what I always argue for. Why worry about successfully signing Theis in free agency, when you can just get a similar player AND a pick NOW.
OH MY GOD
I cant listen to Perkins for the next 3 hours
I feel bad for Mike Schmidt.

I dunno man. This is like the Mavs signing Delon Wright with $30 million in cap space.
I'd be pissed if I needed a starting center and my team made this trade.
Rumor in DC that Westbrook deal will expand with Harrell and Kuzma being packaged for Dinwiddie S&T.
