It’s not happening very quickly, but the Mavs are inching back towards that coveted top right quadrant real estate again.
Next four games against Orlando, San Antonio and OKC twice are winnable and could enable an improved look at standings before a tough 5 game stretch against Denver, Clippers twice and Portland twice. I expect Mavs to win at least 6 of these 9 games, starting tonight. I hope heads are clear after a certain birthday Smile

I would add the GSW have a tough stretch in the next 5.  May be able to catch them. (Blazers, Suns, Clippers, Jazz and Lakers again)
I have a lot of questions now that Luka is 22. What kind of cake did he enjoy? Does he like corner pieces, side pieces, or middle pieces? Was he able to blow out all the candles at once (obviously can’t ask him what he wished for or it won’t come true)?

I won’t be satisfied going to bed tonight if I haven’t heard an on-court postgame Luka interview getting to the bottom of these. We only get those kind of interviews after a W. Must win game.
I always enjoy seeing how many people like Dr Mav’s entertaining “Must win” comments... how come we can’t see likes anymore?
I see three likes so far.

Did a test to see what happened...when you like a post that has likes you have to refresh the page since the other likes disappear for you after you first like a post...
Must win game guys
Wild Prediction:  THJ 2 Dunks, 6 Threes
Hey, anyone got a great BACK INTERNET FEED for tonight's game since YouTube TV and FOX Sports don't actually care about their viewers?

KP has got to stop chucking these difficult threes.
I figured out why Dwight Powell is not good defensively

His feet mechanics are often flat footed when he moves side to side and its not be cause of the injury.

He rarely uses his toes in his lateral movement

It causes him to be less twitchy and slow footed.
KP - 1-9 and 2 points --- yikes --- At least he's at 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal

Wow.  Smh.
Nice little routine victory. I wouldn't say defense was as bad as score shows. Orlando was just on fire with several guys looking like they can't miss.
Another great game by Brunson...he is maintaining his efficiency numbers!

Half the Magic's 3 pointers went down and the Mavs still won.  Earlier this year they would have been blown out.

Nice to be over .500.  The Mavs were a little careless late that made a double digit win into single digits.

Brunson is really making a jump.    I am glad it is happening.
KP was solid on defense, I think.  And he also had double digits rebounds.   But I prefer games where his offense is not built mostly on him making threes.   I thought a few of his threes in the first half were good shots.  A few weren't imo.  I don't care if he misses them, I want him taking shots 15 feet and in.

There was a point in the second half that Luka had KP and Hardaway on the left side of the court.   KP wanted the ball, but it looks like Luka threw it to Hardaway.   You could really see KP shoulders slouch.   He didn't pout for long.   Hardaway got him the ball and KP drove and got fouled.  Something is just a little off though.  I think KP wants more touches.

Richardson has his moments, but he just hasn't been making enough shots.   Tonight he had a few roll out though.    Dallas needs him to hit a higher percentage of his open threes though.

That is a limited Orlando team.   I was hoping for a little better performance.   But a win is a win.   Lets get the next game and head to the break.
