Three difficult games ahead of Mavs, with Celtic one arguably being the easiest. Very athletic team with bad bench.
The Celtics are desperate for wins right now, so the Mavs better have the requisite energy and determination in order to beat them.
If Maxi can't go, I wonder if we see a Powell and KP front court to start? I am not sure if I will like this starting lineup better, but I have grown to dislike Maxi and KP starting. I am not sure if it is KP performance or the other starters in Richardson and DFS, but I think I really like Maxi as a heavy minute bench player.
The starting lineup just seems like it needs more offense, especially when KP is not scoring efficiently. Powell probably won't help the offense but maybe he can get a few easy baskets. Right now, this team is really dependent on Hardaway and Brunson to score and play efficiently. You can really feel it when they are not on their game.
Was great to have Mavs basketball back last night, and with a nice win nonetheless. Looking for a 2-0 start to the “new” season. Must win game.

Hmm... As much as I want to ignore the latest articles as clickbait, KP developing a random sore back at the same time that rumors start emerging about Dallas shopping him certainly has my attention.
I don't believe KP is going to get traded but I do wonder what would happen if a team like Cleveland is like here is a lotto pick and Drummond - would the Mavs go for that? I could see them playing the cap space game again this offseason with KP off the books. some kind of KP for Collins swap would also be interesting since we see a rumor about that.

KP ruled out before last game: Well something’s up
Realizing it was start of a back to back: Nvmd, the second game is on TNT so they just didn’t want him to play B2B or get in trouble with league
Now: oh yeah, somethings definitely up

I was really optimistic for this "restart". Pieces seemed to finally fall in to their respected places. Now this. I mean, cmmon. Weird season. Weird years. The way things are going, Kemba probably gonna shoot 60% from 3 tonight. Remaining optimist tho. Go Mavs. Kick the Celtics while they are down.
To win this one Mavs need to play defense like yesterday. Than it is up to shooting. If they will be at last average, they have a chance. Better, it is a win.
