Battle of the bottom feeders in the West!!!
I said I will not be assessing the season before 10 games after those Phoenix games and I expect Mavs to win at least 7 out of these 10. They are 2-1 atm and there really isn't any better opportunity than this to start a winning streak.
My first post on the “new” board in preparation of what will hopefully be a new winning streak. Must win game.
TPA graphs are fun
But they are also sad as I only see Luka as the only Mav in that upper right quadrant

False advertising to put JG in there....
BTW, is anyone else wondering about now if we'd be better off with Delon than THJ?  Just looked Delon up at Detroit and not looking too bad.  The Pistons took the Lakers to two over times yesterday.  I also wonder if DSJ will do any better there than he did at the Knicks.

Not with RC as the coach.

If RC were not the coach? Then I think it is a more open debate.
We had a very tough schedule while having some guys out because of covid19 and consequently lost all the momentum we got earlier in the season. We also lost a couple of games we really should have won.

Hopefully this game will start a winning streak throughout a relatively better schedule in February.

He was completely out of the rotation for much of the season, and then Hayes got hurt. Even then, Casey tried to figure out a way not to play him. Since earning a regular spot, he has had some good games, but more terrible ones, tbh. He’s extremely inconsistent, and my guess is that he’s about to lose a ton of minutes to DSJ, believe it or not.

He’s not remotely in the same class as THJ, imo.

Thanks.  It'll be interesting to see how that plays out.  I'm always interested to see how players perform after leaving here.

I’m sure he’ll have his moments, but the conversation is more Wright vs Richardson to me. They’re more similar as players, and neither has looked very good here (so far).

2 guys that the FO has identified the need for the skillset and RC hasn't been able to figure out the role? I honestly thought he'd start where he left off in Mia when he came here, but that hasn't been the case. That's also so far, 2 teams that haven't figured out what to do with him as well in Phil and Dal (let's reiterate the so far).

Honestly, the 3% is really the only fully disappointing thing in his game as far as I've seen, albeit, that is a HUGE thing for this team. I guess I would like to see more assists from him too. I really like his defensive intensity, moreso than what I saw from Wright tbqh.
Easier said than done, but if JRich took the same amount of 3's he's taking right now and made 1 more every 2 games going forward, that is 40%. Would be 2.2 makes for 5.5 attempts. It would also increase his ppg to 14.3. Add an assist per game and that is the player we are looking for IMO. Also, he's only missed 3 FT's so far this year, get that man to the line more often!

Yes, I agree that Richardson warrants more of a “meet him halfway” effort than Wright did. I’m still hopeful that he’ll be a fit.
3 of 4 after the win tonight.

Yes!  It's the Mavs failing to capitalize on the simple things like that which drive me crazy.  Another one is failing to block out and thereby giving up copious amounts of second chance points.  And yet another one is failing to capitalize when the other team is in the penalty with six minutes left in a quarter.  If the Mavs just had a little more discipline about the fundamentals, they would have won several more games this season.

Same could be said of last season

Need vet leadership to tamper down the wildness and give the blueprint to win.
Lol, Skin went from NO hair to way too much hair!

Is Naz Reid going to punish us at the rim tonight?

Nice decision by KP to drive the lane!
