Who was the player of the game who elevated his game to help the team get the win?

The player who made sure he was in game shape for his debut...

The man who danced and weaved around Charlotte en route to a 34/13/9/2/4 night.
DPOY Luka.

I voted WCS. It was a hard choice between him and Porzingis. Luka better up his game if he wants to win any Dirks on this site.
Easy choice tonight, imho. LUKA dominated on offense with little to no effort, and his defensive play continues to impress.

Needed this. Tnx Boss. Play of the game!
When Luka has a decent assist-to-turnover ratio AND puts up spectacular numbers in just 3 Qs, he gets my vote. Every time. When he does both of those things AND plays some notable D, holy smokes!!!
Wonderboyyyy, what is the secret of your power??

Two-way Luka, that's who.

Honorable mention to the rookie Green, with outstanding defense, and a team leading +17.

If this kid learns to be at least a 35% 3 point shooter, he'll be the perfect 3&D complement to Luka and Porzingis.
Luka for his defense alone. Then there's all the other awesome stuff he did.

Luka and Tenacious D - what a combination  Smile
My initial thought was a welcome back to KP combined with him playing very well in his first game back. Conditioning looked great. His being on the floor made Luka feel great too apparently.

But, Luka was so good it is impossible not to give him the Dirkie. Dirk himself often totally dominated as well. We are not worthy! .......but actually, we do deserve this!
Aside from the sloppy start to the 3rd Q, this was one of the best Luka games ever. His shot/pass selections were almost perfect. None of the 9 shots behind the arc were those early, forced step back threes. He let the game come to him and played in rhythm.
Luka was so great. He’s starting to show that MVP moxie. But, in the spirit of the award, my vote went to the rook. He can play D.
