I s want to say it today, but I will obey the tradition. So, dear DR., the floor is yours...
Defensive assignments:

JRich on Graham
THJ on Rozier?
Luka on Washington
DFS on Hayward
Powell on Biyombo

I could actually see some mismatches here.  Hayward and Rozier are the biggest concerns, in my mind.

Maybe bench THJ, put DFS on Rozier, James Johnson on Hayward?

The Charlotte bench seems to mostly consist of wing-sized guys, so maybe less playing time than normal for Burke and Brunson.  On the other hand, perhaps Dallas can use their quickness advantage when the second unit is in there.

You snooze, you lose, @"DrMav".

MUST WIN GAME!
Early season game against a subpar team right as we're starting to feel good. We need to be on alert here, this game could be more dangerous than it looks

Good to have a team with not too much size for Powell, he was so bad last game he was only a +12  Tongue
No idea what to expect. Two bad performances followed by a +51 win vs a contender that looked like the worst team in the league.

What I would like to see...

  • Less Powell. More WCS (More Kleber-WCS lineups)
  • More Burke-Luka
  • Penetration and inside scoring instead of 3-point chucking (inside/out game leading to more open 3s). No early shot clock 3s of the dribble
  • Rebounding/Box outs. I know it happens to all teams/players but it feels like at least one Mavs player is ball watching instead of doing his job on every single possession.
The Mavs mostly struggle against size, wich Charlotte doesn't have. They also don't have anyone to stop Luka(especially Luka near/in the restricted area. I like the matchups, the Mavs just have a way better bench.
JRich playing?

I know that Charlotte is dangerous, and not to be taken for granted. I know that.

Having said that, if Richardson is having calf issues, I strongly feel that sitting him tonight is the right move. If the team’s collective head is on straight, they should still be able to handle Charlotte, no?

I was thinking the same earlier when I seen Kamm's post...

No need to risk lingering issues for a lower tiered team...also lets others get more time next to Luka...

Ugh, have a schedule conflict that I didn't realize when I made it. Gonna have to watch this one after the game which means I can't read the board or join discord until I get to watch....

I hate my life.
Must win game, as always
