Lukas first Christmas Day game.

Seems like a must win game to me.
If I would have to pick one game Mavs would win in first three, this one would be it. Lakers don't really have a player able to guard Luka unless his majesty himself guards him and takes it as a playoff game. I don't think Lakers are mentally ready for max effort at this point. On the other hand of course, LeBron and AD will be a handfull for our small lineup. Mavs have to show they are better than what they showed against Phoenix.
If Lakers go with same lineup as in the first game (Schroeder-KCP-LeBron-AD-Gasol) I think Luka will be on Gasol, Powell on AD, DFS on LeBron, THJ on KCP and JRich on Schroeder.

Who do you want us to put on AD?
I think the Lakers win this one. Wins against top teams are going to be rare until KP returns. I'll be happy if we can keep it a close game.

double him and make the rest of them hit 3s
I'm always going to pick the Mavs to win no matter who they're playing.  In the real world though, the LAL are a tough team to play...for anybody.  If the Mavs don't come out any better prepared than they were for the Phoenix game...we'll be 0 -- 2.  I've always felt the Mavs play better from the front than from behind.  This is why the first and third quarters are so important.  Of course, nothing is more important than the end of the fourth quarter.  We shall see...

Maxi, all game long...and double at every opportunity.  Yeah, I know it may leave somebody open, but it's better than letting one guy beat us.  Of course...there is Lebron...

This game is an opportunity to pick up a win. While not a great matchup on paper the Lakers may need more than one loss to start taking the season seriously.

AD scares me though, starting Powell against him will likely work about as well as having Brunson defend Booker in crunch time. I'd like a Boban sighting

Richardson is an X factor here. I've seen very mixed reviews on him from 76er and Heat fans so I'm not sure what to think of him yet but I liked what I saw from him in the last game

Lakers coming off a loss favors them at home.

J Rich was a better fit in Miami than Philly. He looks like a good fit in Dallas, we'll see.
I could see a win tonight. LeBron is a little hobbled and I think we'll shoot much better. Law of averages, right?
Not sure if this is for real but would be very Mavs: https://twitter.com/All_Things_Mavs/stat...5771141126
To be fair, you have to give someone a few starts before casting them to Hades.
