Yeah I'm overreacting. But why not?

??? He is our guy. We have all the tools to bring one more...
"That guy"?
I like what I've see from Richardson a lot.

I'm also noticing that he likes to dribble into the midrange and take contested jumpers from there like he's Jordan. I sure hope he doesn't overdo that.
He´s too old.
Because he isn't Greek
He has improved his averages every year he has been in the league. He has never been in an offense like we have so its hard to say right now
Jason?

I was like "no he's not!" and then I figured out you were trolling the mistake in the thread title.

Well played, my guy.

If you look at his mid range percentages from his time in Miami particularly, he's actually pretty good at them. Especially off PnR, which he didn't get to make use of in Philly.
I also like what I'm seeing from Josh Richardson.  Aside from that the team appears to be...upgraded.  I am hopeful.

Coming out of Miami, Richardson was considered a budding young player at 26 now turned 27.
His value was such as a 2-way wing that he was able to headline the deal to get Jimmy Butler to the Heat.

To the Mavs credit they understood that his perceived value had dipped a bit due to his role and system in Philly.
His defense remained a big + but people forget that that J-Rich can shoot and score as well.  Carlisle system is already bringing that out.
Well, that trade already looks like a heist.

And we got PAID a draft pick in the deal.  Just mind blowing.

I was also sure Dallas would have to pay a pick in this trade due to the quality difference. But, Curry will be paid 8 mil in each of next three seasons while JRich will probably command a yearly salary in the 15-20 mil range. I don't think Philly is rich enough to be able to afford that.  So looks like this was a factor. Plus Curry is arguably better fit in Philly

We'll see. We were told JRich was a bad fit in Philly because he couldn't shoot at a high enough clip, and so far in Dallas he's 8 of 10 from deep. It will be interesting to watch how the different systems affect both players.
It was a great trade for both teams. Curry is just what Philly needed, but it comes down to his ability to stay on the floor as always.
