Detroit gets a Amazon gift card and season tickets for the Browns in return for Drummond . WTF are they doing in Detroit?

I made a few posts regarding Drummond (probably ill advised) because of Schwartz and because I anticipated he would be super-cheap.  If Dallas is an opportunistic trader, then super-cheap sometimes inspires a deal.

What this tells me is bigs other than KP (and probably a cheap backup center like WCS) have to be able to play on the perimeter.  Houston is going center-less.  We are going with a 7'3" SG at center...thankfully he protects the rim pretty well.  If Drummond for free didn't change that, nothing is going to change that.  So, there is an entire class of NBA players you can take off the trade radar.

WTF are they doing in Cleveland? Drummond is overpaid and will most likely expect to remain overpaid. They can't flip Drummond for assets. While it is true he doesn't contribute a lot to winning, he might still make them a little better, so that they probably collect worse pick in a tanking season. Trully beyond understanding for me.

I bet he takes less and re-ups with Cleveland,  just to stick it to Detroit. They are division rivals. Who knows, he might make them a better fit, after they let Thompson walk. Sometimes, all that's needed is a change of scenery. He's still a one-trick pony tho.
Damn, the traditional C position is dead nowadays. DET wanted no part of Drummond opting in this summer, so they just decided to get rid of him. I read somewhere, their asking price was several FRP only a couple of weeks ago, lol...
The Cavs basically got Drummond for a 2nd rounder and spare parts.

Pistons legend Brandon "Decimated by Deandre Jordan" Knight hasn't played a passable game of basketball since 2017.

John Henson hasn't impressed at all, and couldn't get minutes over Nance/Thompson/Love.

A player of Drummonds caliber should've at least gotten a protected first. Cavs got away with a steal.

Yet at the end of the day everyone is asking "why in the world would Cleveland do this?" Odds are, Drummond isn't sticking around.

All the teams that had money this summer have all but dried up. I wonder if Drummond opts in for next year and forces a trade. If he opts out, I think the Mavs should give him a look.
^ I don't, whatever his price tag would be. You just cannot play Drummond alongside KP in today's league for any meaningful minutes, these days are gone.
