Morey trying his best to get fired

Their owner is a cheap fuck.
Thinking
Well dang, I'm glad we didn't get RoCo seeing how Min got 2 1sts for him, that is waaaay too much. 2 firsts should net you a once recent allstar or more.

???

I'm seeing the Brooklyn 1st, Beasley, and Hernangomez.

There are a lot of reports on what the trade actually is (all different). I guess we need to wait til the dust settles to know for sure.
Is going from Beasley, and Hernangomez to Napier, Bates and Vonleh an upgrade?
Get a late first as well I guess.
Hmmm I don't really see a winner here.. lol maybe atlanta?
Nice move by the Hawks imo. Funny that the Wolves still couldn't find a way to get off the Dieng contract.
Wow!
1. Great deal for Minny, really got a haul for Covington. 2 promising youngsters and a first round pick.
2. Houston: what were you thinking!?!? Even if Capella has a season ending injury, paying him and first round pick for Covington is just strange
3. Atlanta: got long term quality starter center for a first round pick, reasonable
4. Denver: bad Houston pick for Beasley and Hernangomez, really? No one was offering better package for those two?
Jesus. I can't believe it happened

Houston has no more centers lol

Quick Edit. I think this deal also quickly takes Gary Harris off the market. I'm surprised the Nuggets chose him over Beasely. Oh well, I'm not too disappointed. Its not like the Mavs were in the hunt for Harris anyways.

2nd thought. Now that Houston got RoCo, there should be even more pressure on Donnie to get a wing. Now every single matchup in the playoffs has someone that can punish our perimeter that isn't a star.

Iggy seems like it makes the most sense, if he'd even want to come here. Aaron Gordon would be a home run. MKG would be more realistic.

It doesn't for me. We are not in a win now mode and Iggy doesn't make us a contender, imho. I would go after Morris, however his price probably just skyrocketted after they saw what Minny gor for RoCo.

Atlanta is clearly the winner, along with Denver.  Atlanta got a center that fits the team better than Drummond, and his enormous asking price. Trae Young is gonna have a field day on lobs to Capela and Collins. T-Wolves and Rockets, not so much.  Whose gonna rebound all those missed 3's now that Capela is gone?  Westbrook?  Small ball lives in Houston.

I don't really love the trade for Denver either.  Houston's future 1st round picks are so convoluted, it's hard to know what they had available to trade.  I'd also like to know the protections on the pick.

Houston only got 2020 pick to trade, so I don't think there are any protections. It won't be a great pick in any case.

They own their 1st rounders in 2022 and 2023.  If 2020 is eligible, so should 2022.  No?
