So he's missing because he's on paternity leave?

Seems to be a reasonable guess. He still has months till the D-day (July), but who knows what help is needed.

I can't believe Rick let WCS get that girl pregnant! Rick has shown a pattern of letting big men get girls pregnant and nobody seems to care. When are we going to hold him accountable for how he treats bench bigs?

Time to bump the fire Carlisle thread... Angel
If I’m seeing it correctly, that Instagram was posted on Jan 9th and she had the baby 2.5 months ago? Could be a diagnosis of an issue with the baby, but doesn’t sound like the birth, unless I’m reading that wrong.

No, that was some random poster. WCS and his wife/girlfriend will have baby in July (first comment)

My post was actually more of a joke. It looks like the baby is due in July. But man, I should probably check the jokes, because if he's missing time because of the baby at this point that would suggest something problematic with the pregnancy has occurred. Of course, we have no idea if this has anything to do with the absences though.

It was the first explanation I've seen that may be the reason for his absence...

You're a good reporter! You've dug up more than anyone else on the planet has on possible reasons for the absence.
Hmmmm.  There's a lot of possibilities.
Something is weird...this thread was stickied and when I went to find out who stickied it is says it was me...don't remember doing this unless I fat fingered it by mistake...

Time for another illuminati tin foil hat thread. My theory...Mak is still around and logs in when Clutch is offline. Him leaving was just a fake. He made a martyr out of himself to convert all of us to the church of Powell.
In this case he started a controversial WCS discussion to make us realize how much the Mavs miss the sacred Diamond from Toronto.
If the baby is due in July and being born now, that would be reason to take many days off.

Ouch. Yes, that would be very sad and devastating, and I'm glad the Mavs would be understanding about it.

But the issue of why WCS is missing games and why his minutes were so low prior to that are two different issues.

I alll honesty, before any baby news my thoughts were centered on the dnp-cd (as well as the low amount of playing time). I wondered if he blew up at RC and had to have some time to cool off or something to that extent.
