Final tally for the Gafford+Lively combo: 42 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, 4 blocks, 20-21 shooting.

Just for shits and giggles, decided to see if Luka has done something like that. Luka has reached 42+points 14+ rebounds 3 times in his career.

60/21/10 against NYK to go along with 2 steals and a block on 21/31 shooting
45/15/8 against LAC on 15/33 shooting
49/15/8 with 1 block on 17/35 shooting.

Landon Thomas (@sixfivelando)
Daniel Gafford has made 28 consecutive field goals.

Gafford is 8 field goals away from passing Wilt Chamberlain’s record for 35 consecutive field goals in NBA history.
Lively for me. Although the stats with him and Gafford are similar, Lively had the greater defensive impact.
Mavs had some serious centerfugal force going out there!
Kidd on the streakiness for the team:

"Its the NBA, you're gonna win some and you're gonna lose some..."

I fucking hate Kidd so much instilling this laissez-faire attitude.
Well...this seems to be a two horse race between Lively and Gafford. Jaden Hardy-7 minutes, 11 points. Exum only two points but the game seemed to flow nicely when he was out there. I'm sort of happy with the entire team play.

So...my Dirkie goes to Lively.

I don't know how we can blame Kidd for anything. He's just watching, like us.
"I could give a damn if I get 0 points on the board, 0 rebounds, if we get a win, thats a win for me"

-Dereck Lively on his impact on winning as a rookie.

Not sure if he is just trying to escape the blame or if he really thinks that the players will have some kind of awakening where they realize that it is up to them.

Looks like Lively will be filling up that leadership void sooner than later.

He is a treasure.

This is actually hilarious

Haha I missed that somehow. Amazing
If a guy sets an NBA record, even if it has kind of an asterisk because they don’t have consistent data from before 1996, he gets my vote. Maybe Gafford will even get to Wilt, though that would be something.
@MavsPR
D. Lively II (22 pts, 11-12 FG) and D. Gafford (20 pts, 9-9 FG) each scored 20+ pts tonight and combined for 20-of-21 (.952) from the floor.

It marked the first time in Mavs history that Dallas had 2 players score 20+ pts and combined for 95.0+% from the field in the same game.
Lively would have gotten my vote, but he missed a shot... then I remembered he is a rookie and gave it back to him.

Best line of the night in the game thread: Gafford has anti-Dampier hands!

Give the Dirkie to the Centers en masse!
It took us 6 years to get some competent bigs and Luka immediately elevates them to Wilt's level

Somehow forgot to vote on this one last night. D Live for me, the shot Lively missed he got the rebound and put it back anyway
